As satisfying as that would be, it still wouldn't change the fact that Lions are physically and talent-wise outmatched at pretty much every position on the field. Coaching is some of that, but the rest is that the bulk of the players simply aren't that good. We joke about how the Lions are a coaching graveyard, but I think we overlook just how few ex-Lions amount to anything once they leave the team.
especially at QB 😁
The only logical explanation is:
I'm about to die and this is my Jacob's Ladder
These two losses weren't on statford. The entire fucking organization is garbage. All these hacks need to go before they become contenders.
Stafford's blunders all tend to happen as momentum has completely shifted. That's why they look so terrible; because things are falling apart and the LAST thing Lions' fans want to see is their "franchise QB" throwing gas on the fire.
But it's pretty much always for the same reason. He feels he has to force something in those situations (usually because the coaches are being pigheaded fuckgibbons and still trying to "establish the run" in the third quarter while down by 10 or some shit), and he's not good enough to do that reliably. A better QB pulls off more of those plays, but not NEARLY enough to turn too many of those losses into victories, because the problems run so much deeper than who the QB is.

Your honor, yes it is true that my client was among the group the fucked the pooch, but I promise he was not the reason the pooch was molested. Anyway, the pooch was looking for a good time and probably deserved it.

IMO, statford is a below average QB with a great arm. But the last 2 losses are on a shitty defense and an OL that gassed in the 3rd quarter. Both of them are on the coach. If the Lions weren't so pathetic they wouldn't continually collapse late in every game.
Detroit Lions: Where futility is a lifestyle choice.
I didn't watch for the first time in years myself.
Usually sitting on the bar stool with the boys, watching the Lions game is a Fall Sunday ritual.
Now the pubs all suck ass because of THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC THAT'S KILLING EVERYONE and I got a side-by-side to get away from it all. So that's what I do with my Sunday afternoons - get out and cruise the forest and have fun. Fuck the Lions.
The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.

Congrats

Oh, and the Lions suck too. I'm tired of spending my beautiful Sunday Fall afternoons watching them serve up the same shit year after year.
Another Ford stooge gets to play with the toy for a few decades, and I'm just sick of it.
I'm having a beer cruising through the Mackinac state forest with my buddy Jim around 2pm and I said "can you believe we could be sitting on a bar stool watching a shit show instead of this?"

We went looking at houses yesterday. DVR'd the game. Returned and watched it on fast-forward, slowing down only on the scoring plays. Bada-bing, bada-boom, the shit show is done in minutes and we had still enjoyed our day!
The final straw for these clowns for me was back in June when they announced that instead of selling the team to someone who wants to win, they are keeping the team in the Ford family. So the hell with those clowns.
This season has been the most enjoyable football season of my life so far, and will be much more enjoyable once Big Ten football returns.
There is a lot to say for not having having Sundays ruined by these clowns.
