The Lions shouldn't be anyone's end all/be all in the NFL. There are some good teams. Follow one (or more) of them and just keep a laughing eye on the AP Circus.
Thank goodness for FF
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
I keep an eye on the Jags as they come to London a lot and are in the AFC. I don’t feel much watching them though, which is arguably preferable to the feeling of horror watching the Lions.
I switched off in Q3 and went onto red zone which was enjoyable as ever.
I didn't watch for the first time in years myself.
Usually sitting on the bar stool with the boys, watching the Lions game is a Fall Sunday ritual.
Now the pubs all suck ass because of THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC THAT'S KILLING EVERYONE and I got a side-by-side to get away from it all. So that's what I do with my Sunday afternoons - get out and cruise the forest and have fun. Fuck the Lions.
D,
Good for you. Can you please let me in on what a side by side is? Sounds camping related if you're in the (beautiful) forests.
Think a lot of people need to NOT give themselves the choice. Be like me......., be a tight bastard and refuse to pay for SKYTV.
No choice but to NOT see the Losers.

I was streaming the game and had to refresh the feed ever few minutes. It was a real pain in the ass.
The packers ran the first play from scrimmage at the start of the second half for a TD and the Lions next possession was putrid.
I asked myself why the fuck I was going through the trouble of watching these fucking fucks fucking fuck up, closed the stream and started this thread.
Fuck those fucking fucks

IMO, statford is a below average QB with a great arm. But the last 2 losses are on a shitty defense and an OL that gassed in the 3rd quarter. Both of them are on the coach. If the Lions weren't so pathetic they wouldn't continually collapse late in every game.
That first loss was on the offense - you have a team down - bury them. It's a theme that keeps repeating itself over and fucking over and they still haven't learned. Keep your foot on the gas when you have a team down. But no, they fucking go into squirrel mode and start trying to hoard nuts for the winter....
You'd think Stafford would have learned that lesson way the fuck back in 2014.
That second loss was a clusterphuck most expected.
Even if the Lions were awesome....... I’d still be out playing on that thing instead of watching.

Stafford isn't the one calling two up the gut draw plays up 3 in the fourth quarter of a game that creates a third and long. He's not the one trying to "establish the run" while down by double digits.
Now, if you want to argue Stafford SHOULDN'T be trying to force something in those situations because he's not good enough to make it happen reliably, I guess I would have to say you're right... but I'm not exactly sure what you think he SHOULD do with a garbage defense on the sidelines and a coaching staff hellbent on being the most predictable in the league.

He's the one who has seen this shit fail a fukton of times prior, if anyone who gives a fuck about winning who has their hand on the throttle doesn't realize this ISN'T the thing to do on THURSDAY......... This is the shit I'm talking about He waits until the play is called and runs it (on Sunday) - like an UDFA QB making peanuts would....... Stafford should pretty much OWN the offensive playbook - he's a 10+ year veteran "franchise" QB making 30 mill........
But no, we want to make him out to be some schmuck that has no say in the matter... So be it, think that if you will.
An NFL QB is as close to a Field General (literally) as there is - apparently Stafford doesn't realize that Hitler isn't running the Lions and he's not going to get executed on the spot.
Didn't have this shit 60 years ago, QB's called their own plays......
I think one thing that makes watching the Lions easier is to never expect them to win. Watch them like you would if it were the Keystone Kops
I've been doing that for years. Years.
I've gotten to the point that I don't even find the amusement any more. I'll have the local game on in the background on the TV Sunday and won't bother to try to find a stream. I'm not wasting 3+ hours on my life watching these fucking fucks. Maybe I'll watch some time in the future, but for now.? Fuck 'em.
