First time in 19 years I skipped watching a Lions game

I watched the first half. No emotion one way or the other the entire time. Not when they led 14-3 or when they went down 17-14. I left it on while I was doing other stuff for some of the 2nd half and saw the pick six. Again zero emotion. I've lost all emotional ties to this team for a while now.

They could cut Stafford tomorrow or keep him until he's 50. Don't care either way. They could extend Patricia too to a lifetime contract and I wouldn't care.

As satisfying as that would be, it still wouldn't change the fact that Lions are physically and talent-wise outmatched at pretty much every position on the field. Coaching is some of that, but the rest is that the bulk of the players simply aren't that good. We joke about how the Lions are a coaching graveyard, but I think we overlook just how few ex-Lions amount to anything once they leave the team.
