  • Hinch.
There is no difference between closing a threat in the 9th, or the 5th.
Brieske - close it. Gotcha boss....

    • Excellent game from the pen so far. And Hinch is absolutely right that a jam in the 5th is just as big of a deal as a jam in the 9th.

      • You can do that when you have developed as many leverage relievers as they have.

            • It's simply sublime how no matter the situation, no matter the inning, everyone Hinch brings in is ready to give it all they got.

              • Meh, but a double does the job.
                3-0 Detroit !!!

                • Hey, I'm happy just to see Tork finally get the ball in play. Baby steps.

                  • How does this pitch com work? Who is calling the pitches into the pitchers ear?

                    • And now the Guardians are dealing with a power outage that could send them packing. They're running a scoreless streak that's rivaling the Tigers to start this series.

                      • Something to be said about a properly positioned 3B.
CLE wasn't - it cost them a run.
DET was - it saved them a run - or more.

The cacher has a remote with buttons on it. Most of the time when there is a pitch com issue it is because it runs out of battery or the language is set to the wrong language

                          • Mission 1 complete - get it back to Skubal.
Mission 2 - finish the deal - preferrably tomorrow.

                            • The Tigers got their bullpen win. Now, the BEST case scenario is finishing in Game 4, but the Guardians can't like the idea of facing down Skubal in Game 5.

                              • If Detroit can get the win tomorrow, then Skubal is lined up to be able to pitch 2, maybe 3 games in the ALCS.

Good times if this becomes true tomorrow.
