  • Yup. 3 games in 3 days, no travel days. I guess it makes delays less likely. If a game gets rained out, I assume they tack on a forth day, but I wouldn’t put it past them to schedule a double header either.

                • This Tigers team has a lot of similarities to the 2022 Lions. (If the freaking Rams would have beaten the Seahawks)

                  • The funniest thing about that 8th inning rally is it was Ibanez. AJ has had him as his lefty killer. For the season he had like a 1.000 OPS against lefties, but the last two months he has been a popup machine. Tiger fans have been complaining about him for awhile because of those pop-ups. But Hinch kept going to him and it paid off Friday and today.

                      Indeed.
Detroit/ Michigan sports was dead in general a few years ago too. All of this success is finally hitting us in recent seasons.

Pistons need to get their shit together. Black sheep.

I see Hinch used the term gritty to describe the Tigers. Gritty, gritty, gritty. Let's get the Red Wings and Pistons on board.

                        • Some gritty Pistons again would be nice.

I will point out that the World Series last year was #6 seed Arizona vs #5 seed Texas. Never know what can happen in the MLB playoffs.

Not afraid of the Yankees in particular due how the Tigers have smacked them around in the playoffs this century. 10-3 record. 10-2 since that crappy Nate ‘the great’ Robinson game 1 start vs the Yankees in 2006. The spooky Yankees lineup that was then shutdown.

                            • Can NBA basketball and the term Gritty ever be connected in this modern era?
                              Not in my mind

                              • Only 3 teams in history have finished the season as hot as the Tigers. 64 Cardinals, 69 Mets and someone else (sorry, heard it on radio). All 3 won the whole enchilada
