  • Now it's more about Hot and Ready. I must say with Little Caesars, I haven't gotten it as much since the pandemic due to it being swamped with customers since a lot of restaurants were closed or drive thru only.

One thing as a Detroiter you realize if you go to another city is there are so many pizza places compared to other cities. In those cities the replacement level pizza is something like CeCes or Donatello's and LC blows them out of the water IMO.

    • I haven't gotten pizza (outside of a slice here or there) in quite awhile. But I do remember an LC in Davison that was a sit down and had a large arcade.Good times.

When I lived in Mt.Pleasant there were a ton of pizza places.

2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

Not really, if you are talking chains. There a plenty of optons for chain pizza.

There is no NY or Chicago pizza, but there are plenty of brick oven type places and "gourmet" shops.

BTW, what the fuck is up with Detroit style pizza. I never heard of that shit when I lived in Michigan

          • It seems like it's only chains. When I was working in Orlando, I could not find any non-chain pizza place.

I've never heard of Detroit Style pizza until I was in Scotland 6 years ago. I saw it on a menu and didn't know what it was. I thought everybody had square deep dish pizza. I guess it is technically like a Buddy's style pizza, where is is cooked in a pan resembling a rectangular oil pan.

Yeah, it never really had a name until a few years back when a former Buddy's cook won some "big" awards with a similar recipe, and it momentarily became all the rage.

                      • They have a Detroit spot called Angry Pete's in San Diego. Not very good at all, but I had to try it.

I think Buddy's is the perfect Detroit pizza spot. I try to get a half-baked every time I go home.

                        • Casey Mize ... Tommy John. Oh well. I literally thought that it was the former PGA tour player with the bad leg when I saw the headline, that's how much Casey Mize has impacted my mind. Never preferred him as the #1 pick, but it made sense. Whatever
WHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?

Oh well, he should be alright in 15 months or so. It is what it is.
