  • Norris and Farmer got blown up. Still they take 2 of 3 from the Indians. Good start to the season.

    • Yeah that second inning from Norris was an inning to forget. It looked like BP out there.

      • Skubal looked good.....too many pitches....but you can see a near ace/frontline pitcher (maybe an ace if we get lucky) in there.

          • He killed it in spring training. I’ll be curious to see how he does when they start moving him up the lineup. His speed and power is a great combo

                  No doubt.

I didn’t watch the game but it looks like Mize had a nice outing as well.

                    • Baddoo was the surprise of spring training camp.
Hope we see him receive more playing time. Deserves it right now. If he cools off, oh well.
+ Baddoo has a pretty cool name. Entertainment value there.

                      • Is some of his success simply due to teams not having much film on him yet? Hopefully not.

                        • That is nearly the case 99 percent of the time, but it's not like there has never been a long term rule 5 success. There have been a few great ones.

I remember when Chris Shelton was a two month rule 5 sensation in 2006. He flamed out and wasn't even on the playoff roster but his scorching bat got them off to a hot start and they ended up needing all of those early wins to get them into the playoffs.

His career was arguably the strangest I've ever seen. It wasn't just 2006, he tore it up in 2005 too.
                            Then whammo. Gone.
                            Rick Ankiel's is a very close 2nd....

                            • I remember when Brennan Boesch had that torrid stretch for a month or two. His swing was short compact and he appeared to have no holes in it. Matt Newman was in here celebrating that they had Miggy's protector in the lineup for the next 5 years. He lasted one more season as a Tiger. But that one month his OPS was over 1.000, it was amazing, even aot of really good players don't have those kinds of stretches

                              • Chris Shelton or whatever had a stretch, too. Inge even got hot every once in awhile

EDIT now I see u mentioned Shelton
