Did u guys notice what Toronto and Pitt did with Martin and Gonzales ... both of whom everyone has said probably can't handle SS?

They announced them when drafted as SS ... it's just whatever
WHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?

Exactly, it's just whatever. There is a big drop off defensively if you draft a guy as a SS. Theoretically it means he has the physical ability to pretty much play ANYWERE on the diamond, his only limitation is his Bat. As opposred to trying to pimp a guy as a CF who is really a 1B - everyone knows that is a sick joke.

Good read. I'm really not worried about Tork defensively. Not at all

If he lives up to the billing of greatest hitter ever - it doesn't matter where he plays. Everyone knows this isn't the 1950's though, you don't move Mantle and Mays from CF to protect them - they are more than capable of protecting themselves (and the team) right where they are.

If Tork becomes the Tigers version of Pujols? All is good.
If Tork becomes the Tigers version oi Rob Deer? Ugh..... Really???

Tigers pick next at #38 tomorrow. No idea who it will/ should be...

Dillon Dingler sounds interesting... All American catcher from the Ohio St. Tigers catchers have been crap for the longest time.

Nice thing about the delay of MLB is that the tigers only have 6 fewer wins.

I noticed that too. Very cool.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

Great info guys. I was/am excited about the Tork selection.

Question: With what will almost assuredly be a shortened season will there be Minor leagues? If so, would it behoove the Tigers to keep Tork there for some seasoning on the defensive side and one more year of "Tanking"?

Admittingly, I haven't kept up as much with baseball and the majority of what I do know is centered around the Tigers.

Running out of time for minor league games. 4 more months until October... No idea if MLB will figure it out by then.

                    Pretty cool shout out.

Might watch some of the draft tonight when the Tigers are up. Lack of sports sucks... Thank goodness the PGA Tour is back again today through Sunday.

                          Tigers remaining picks are: #38, #62, #73, #102, and #132.

Here are the best available on Day 2 of the Draft:
                          https://www.mlb.com/news/2020-mlb-dr...yers-available

Most of the top guys available have red flags like a recent surgery or maybe they won't sign. or a guy like Casey Martin has a strike out issue. I would still go with Dillon Dingler if the Tigers can pay him.

There’s a few prep arms and college arms left. Bats include Dingler (C) and Martin (SS.)

I think they go Daniel Cabrera. I saw us linked to him in a few places. Line drive contact hitting OF from the SEC. His profile reminds me of David Peralta. Peralta didn’t really develop power until he hit 30, but they seem like similar hitters.

Yep, the draft was fun yesterday. Nice to have some sports. I also like how quickly it moves. The NFL draft has too much fluff for me.
