Is Whitley actually Lynn Henning? Has anyone seen the two of them in the same room?

It's sad that I'm actually looking forward to the beginning of training camp for the Detroit Lions this week, and the next upcoming seasons for the Lions, Pistons, and Red Wings later this year.
The Detroit Tigers is a toothless, punch-less, boring mess.

That is the reason I brought up Ol Scrap Iron, is that he started managing like that after his first season and people defended him because he was in a bad situation. To me poor managing is poor managing, there's this weird sentiment in this town that he's the best manager in baseball and it would be a big loss if he left. I'm not sure if those same folks have notic d the Astros seem to be doing fine with Old Man Baker.

Oh, I wouldn't cry a bit if Hinch was fired.
But it's the same sort of thing as it was with Blashill. It's not like the dude forgot how to coach when he jumped from the Griffins to the Red Wings. The Wings (and the Tigers) are dogshit. It doesn't matter who you have coaching them, because they're dogshit.

Deadline selloffs by the Tigers didn't start in earnest until 1994. They had been a franchise that was good going back to the early 80s. We have probably seen about 15 true deadline selloffs. Out of all of those selloffs the best players I can remember them getting: Bonderman, Boyd, Fulmer and Candelario. Feel free to add any.
