Tigers took the catcher, Dingler.

His defense is supposed to be elite, but so is Jake Rogers'

Dingler had a pretty subpar average overall in college. I probably would've gone in a different direction. That MASYN WINN stands out ... but maybe he's going to college

I guess you hope with Dingler that the hitting has come around. It sounds like he's athletic and has power

I don't like the batting average, but everything else is good. 6'3, 220 and actually played a lot of CF in college, too

Yeah, bat is the question. Hopefully 2020 is indicative of improvement. Though it's a small sample size + against poor competition. Great D upside, athletic C, high character, and improving* bat.

Tigers pick again soon at #62 and some guys are available that were discussed as #38 possibilities.
Casey Martin, Daniel Cabrera, and Blaze Jordan.
As a homer M fan, Jeff Criswell is rated in that area too. Very clutch pitcher for M as they made it to the CWS championship.
Doubt Cole Wilcox is an option given he is still available.

Wow, you can't make this up. In the 4th round, the Tigers took Gage Workman, who was the 3B on the same ASU team as Tork (who played 1B).

Sounds like a tools guy who needs work.

On the scouting sites, it basically makes it sound like he can play 3B, RF, possibly even SS

No pitchers in the entire draft class. Crazy, but hey... Tigers needed it. Similar to the Carolina Panthers 2020 draft class being all defensive players.
Tigers didn’t draft a P until the 7th in the 2019 Draft. Avila has definitely attempted to fix the farm weakness.

People seem to love the Colt Keith pick IF the Tigers can sign him. We’ll see.

I read that Colt Keith said he had a number in mind. If he doesn't get that number, he'd go to college.

Unless the Lions get creative (Cruz could be under slot, I guess, but it wouldn't free much money) ... odds are Keith goes to college.

Cruz seems ok and certainly has the bloodlines being potential 3rd gen MLB ... but Casey Martin seemed a better choice. We'll see

Wow, that looks like a fantastic draft. I wish they could have picked Blaze Jordan but it’s hard to be mad at those picks. Lots of value and lots of bats
