That's playoff baseball. The story is not that, the story was Skubal being great, great defense and Kerry Bonds hitting a bomb off Clase.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. I can be happy they won and got a split against Cleveland. I can be elated that Detroit is going to see some playoff baseball (and think it's a damn shame that my schedule doesn't work out for me to attend one of them), and not be happy that their offense really stunk for most of the first two games in the series.
It's okay to like some things, and not like other things. It really and truly is.Last edited by chemiclord; October 7, 2024, 07:38 PM.

Although if you want some happy posting, I'm glad to do that. In one of the few times Skubal and Clase have played in the same game (Clase being the guy that Cleveland thinks should be the AL Cy Young):
Skubal - 7.0 IP, 0 ER, 3 Hits, and 8 Ks.
Clase - 1.0 IP, 3 ER, 3Hits, and 1 K.

I actually have no problems with how Hinch is managing this roster. He is getting more out of it than any manager has any business getting.
