Tigers win. It looked like a loss as old Tiger Tyler Alexander was shutting them down. You could almost hear the gloomy music from Major League. But Hinch used every position player on the bench and the final guy J Hen hit a clutch sac fly to score the winning run.
Magic number is 2.

Playoffs!! Can’t wait. There’s just no way the dumpster fire White Sox can win 6 straight games overall and wreck this miraculous Tigers run. They’re not capable of that. Plus the Twins needing to win out.
Go Tigers. Skubal game 1 next week will be epic.
Going to have to re-watch some Ordonez walk-off HR clips from 2006 to get more hyped.
Perhaps interestingly, the "best" case scenario involves the Twins sweeping the Orioles, and the Tigers sweeping the White Sox. (Well, and the Royals losing at least one to the Braves.)

In the horrible 2003 season, the Tigers won 5 of their last 6 to avoid 120 losses. As a Tiger fan it was one of those moments that brings you excitement and shame in equal parts because Comerica was electric
Meanwhile, the Twins refuse to do the Tigers a solid, which means the Tigers can't finish any better than the 5th seed, which they currently hold after the Royals lost tonight.
