The Sox are bad, but the Tigers didn't acquit themselves very well at the plate against a first time starter. It's always hard to tell in March and April because it isn't baseball weather. It's hard to hit when it's cold, even harder when all of these pitchers hit the high 90s consistently.

Glad I don’t have to suffer through Ken ‘the Hawk’ Harrelson broadcasts anymore. Always painful in the mid-2000s to 2010s era when the Tigers and White Sox battled it out.

I think the plan is they get it to the 10th inning and then they get the ghost runner. That way they have the advantage with what looks like a formidable bullpen. Nothing like winning a game 5-0 when you have 4 hits.

I'll say discovering new and weird ways to win is a hell of a lot better than discovering new and unique ways to lose like a lot of past Tigers teams.

Or Lions, or Red Wings, or Pistons... scratch that last one. Tom Gores is still the idiot Owner, and Troy Weaver is still the idiot GM.

I think this is the way they will have to win at least until it warms up. A lot of relying on defense, base running and pitching. I remember last season Dickerson said that Hinch wanted to have 4 relievers top 80 innings like Holton did.

We'll see how that plan goes, I'm not sure it's a recipe for contention unless Torkelson and Greene have great years Most of the time when there are rebuilds, people like to say that it will be fun to watch young players grow. Most of the time it is nonsense. This might be one of those rare seasons after the second half of last season started trending in that direction.

I look forward to watching them. The last several years the last thing I wanted to do was watch a Tigers game.
