That said, if the Raiders keep tanking, I dunno... maybe Holmes can swing what effectively amounts to a "rental" deal for Crosby (he apparently has a clause in his contract that can allow him to be a free agent at the end of this season), with an additional pick going the Raiders way if Crosby re-signs with Detroit instead of going back to Vegas. Who knows?

Regardless, any "swing for the fences" move isn't going to be something Holmes does until November.

Gotta believe Holmes has at least thrown a flyer out on Myles Garrett, just for the sake of due diligence.

But as far as Crosby being a fit for Detroit... by all accounts I've heard, you almost couldn't grow a more Dan Campbell type player than Maxx Crosby in a lab. That's actually one of the reasons his name just won't go away in every dream trade.

This is among the reasons why I roll my eyes when the Madden/Fantasy people say that Goff isn't a top-10 QB.

I mean, when I was a little kid playing Madden against the computer, wins were such a given that I only cared about stats in my little digital world. So if these Madden kids don't see digital Goff in the top 10 of their simulated stats, they think he's not a top-10 QB.

I would say that Goff is very easily a top-5 passer and defense-reader, but his severe lack of mobility bumps him down the list considerably when you are talking about the QB position in its entirety.

That being said, I keep having this vision of us icing a Super Bowl win on a Goff scramble and slide up the middle, exactly like earlier in Arizona.
