  • Henry still looked pretty good to me last year when he got some blocking. And he's a total freak, so he could be good for 2-3 more years. But with RBs, especially big backs, when it goes, it goes fast usually.

          • Damnit. I knew it was a longshot the Holmes would chase him, but was still holding out hope they were just biding their time.

49/2 even for Hunter is a lot of money

I don't remember the exact numbers, but an unusual amount of Hunter's sacks came from clean-up or coverage (something like 80% of them). He wasn't top 20 in pass rush win rate, but he's getting paid like it. Basically, his production benefitted from the Vikings defense.

We now have one of the top DL coaches in the league and Houston will hopefully be healthy for more than a few games. Add someone from the draft and let's see it play out.

                  • Sounds like the Chargers will be an interesting team to follow today. I would imagine Mike Williams is a lock to be gone. The more intriguing player to watch here is Khalil Mack. Could he be traded or released…

Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers also have a huge hole a TE with Everett gone. Might put Brock Bowers at #5 in play. Though I’m leaning they trade down or draft Joe Alt.

                    • Isn’t Houston a free agent? Or is it restricted and Lions can match

Definitely could be a situation Holmes is monitoring and ready to pounce if Mack or Bosa are shown the door. Either guy is going to have a ton of competition if they are cut. I assume Bosa will survive or would be traded. So probably Mack that shakes loose. Rams in particular would be an easy fit as they wouldn't even have to change buildings.
