Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

      • Vikings sign Josh Rosen to practice squad

Josh Rosen is getting another NFL opportunity.

The Vikings signed Rosen to the practice squad this morning.

A quarterback drafted by the Cardinals with the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Rosen has never come close to living up to his pre-draft expectations. He lasted just one year in Arizona before he was traded to Miami, then lasted just one year with the Dolphins before he was cut. Since then he has spent time with the Buccaneers, 49ers, Falcons and Browns.

In his career, Rosen has a 54.0 percent completion rate, 12 touchdowns and 21 interceptions.

In Minnesota Rosen will join a quarterback room with Kirk Cousins as the starter and Nick Mullens as the backup.

        • Bears don’t know if Teven Jenkins will play again this season

Bears guard Teven Jenkins was stretchered off the field with a neck injury during last Sunday’s game against the Eagles and he went to the hospital for further evaluation.

On Monday, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said that Jenkins got out of the hospital later in the day and was seeing specialists to gain more information about his next steps. Eberflus said that there was “encouraging” news about Jenkins’ outlook, but added that the team doesn’t yet know if he’ll be able to return to the field this season.

“We’ll see,” Eberflus said, via the Associated Press. “We’ll see. I don’t know yet. I don’t know. All those injury reports will come out tomorrow or we’ll know more as time goes. But that’s where it is right now.”

Jenkins was a second-round pick in 2021 after playing tackle at Oklahoma State, but was limited to six games as a rookie because of a back injury. He moved inside this season and has started 10 of the 12 games he’s played for the Bears.

          • Panthers designate Andre Roberts for return from IR

The Panthers can win the NFC South by winning their final three games of the season and kick returner Andre Roberts could be part of that push.

Roberts was designated for return from injured reserve on Tuesday. He can be activated at any point in the final three weeks, so he could be in the lineup against the Lions this weekend.

Roberts injured his knee in the season opener and has not played in the last 13 games. He returned one punt for 10 yards and two kickoffs for 35 yards in that game.

While he’s made a modest contribution to the Panthers, Roberts is a three-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro as a returner and having him in the lineup would give the Panthers a chance of making a big play in the kicking game before the season is over.

                • In wrestling you have different types of heels. Some heels are searching for cheers, so they really aren't heels. Other heels really want the crowd to hate them. Rodgers is definitely in the latter category. You have to appreciate it.

AJ Dillon cleared after concussion evaluation

Packers running back AJ Dillon left Monday night’s win over the Rams in order to undergo a concussion evaluation and head coach Matt LaFleur delivered good news about his condition on Tuesday.

LaFleur said that Dillon passed tests on Monday night and again on Tuesday, so he has been cleared to work with the team as they prepare for Saturday’s road game against the Dolphins.

Dillon ran 11 times for 36 yards and two touchdowns while also catching three passes for 35 yards in the 24-12 win over the Rams. Aaron Jones had 126 offensive yards and a touchdown, so the Packers got good production from both backs as they kept their playoff hopes alive.

Dillon has 154 carries for 660 yards and five touchdowns on the season.

Justin Fields on Ndamukong Suh hit: Too many times I’ve slid and been hit and don’t get flags

Eagles defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was somehow not flagged despite hitting Bears quarterback Justin Fields in the head after Fields had gone to the ground in a slide on Sunday, and Fields said today that it didn’t feel good.

Asked what he thought about the play, Fields said he’s getting frustrated with how often he takes illegal hits that don’t get called.

“It’s been too many times I’ve slid and been hit too late and I don’t get the flags,” Fields said. “I’m going to be on the refs, looking for a call. When I thin it’s a flag I’m going to ask the ref. On Sunday he said he didn’t think it was a foul. I’m just going to be begging for those calls and hope that I get one in the near future. I felt like I was down and then I felt a 300-pound guy.”

Suh has a long history of committing personal fouls and getting flagged, fined and suspended for them, and it’s surprising that the officials missed that one. It’s likely that the league disciplinary office won’t miss it, and that Suh’s paycheck will be docked.

                          • Ravens claim Sammy Watkins with Devin Duvernay dealing with foot injury

Sammy Watkins is back with the Ravens.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Ravens claimed Watkins off of waivers on Tuesday. Watkins was waived by the Packers on Monday

Watkins appeared in 13 games for the Ravens last season and caught 27 passes for 394 yards and a touchdown before moving on to Green Bay this offseason. He had 13 catches for 206 yards in nine games for the Packers.

While Watkins’ familiarity with the offense may have been appealing to the Ravens, they’re also reportedly dealing with an injury to another member of the receiving corps. Pelissero reports that Devin Duvernay injured his foot during Tuesday’s practice and that the injury may be a significant one. He is currently undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury.

                            • Whether you think he runs too much or not, he's not wrong. QBs with "running" reputations don't get calls the same way "pocket passers" by reputation do.

Should it be that way? I don't think so.

Strange. Normally Suh gets flagged just for walking onto the field.
