But if I was looking for the Lions to make a crazy trade right now (I am not looking for this)….it would be for Kyler Murray not Debo

Kawakami is a guy that's as dialed in as anybody on the 49ers. He doesn't think SF wants to pay Tyreek money for Deebo, Apparently concerned about his longevity. Which of course is tied to how they use him.
"there is no way the 49ers are willing to top the record-breaking deal that Tyreek Hill received from the Miami Dolphins after being traded from the Kansas City Chiefs.
"In fact, there's a strong chance, from what I've heard, that the 49ers are very solid about offering less than $25 million per/$72.2 million guaranteed. Maybe substantially less," wrote Kawakami."The Athletic's Tim Kawakami offered up what he labeled an "awkward compromise" between the San Francisco 49ers and their disgruntled wide receiver, Deebo...

Murray is so overrated. I’d rather draft Willis with his legs and cannon that mini me. He’s super talented but no thanksF#*K OHIO!!!

And re: the media reports.....Debo made a statement yesterday basically saying the media reports about the "why" are not accurate.
About Kyler...I was careful to say that wasn't really something I wanted....but in the way of crazy deals, that's the one I'd make. I like Murray despite his small stature....and hearing what his former teammates are saying the past couple of weeks, they're painting a picture of an organization that maybe isn't as committed as Kyler is and a guy who is a fierce competitor. It's looking more and more like the nameless reports were counter intelligence from the cards.

Deebo's tweet is vague and doesn't refute anything directly. And players certainly use their own social media to spin their own stories to frame themselves with the public. Here's his tweet:
"Reporters jobs is to make stories only people know the truth about situation is 49ers, Tory Dandy and Deebo Samuel"
See this way if he is waiting for SF to back up the brinks truck and they do it, he doesn't have to walk back anything publicly. Or if the gets stuck playing in SF next year, he can defuse any questions about how they are using him if he doesn't want to deal with it.

Kyler Murray is good now with his stature because his athletic ability and youth. As he gets older that will change and his Smurfness will hinder his play.F#*K OHIO!!!

But all running QBs are kind of in that boat…and the running QBs that survive, are the ones are the ones that adapt to throwing lanes and get out of the pocket.
And even as running QBs slow down…that might hamper their ability as an O weapon (I.e. QB running plays) but the ability to keep the play alive remains (at least in the good ones).
Again…I don’t seriously think the Lions should do that. It’s a week before the draft, we all pretty much know where everyone on the forum stands (unless a prospect gets caught with a kilo in a room full of dead hookers this week)…just tossing Kyler’s name out because I enjoy watching him play.

Don't get me wrong his stats are really damned good and he's only 2 years into the league. I'm sure he's still figuring shit out but I'd rather draft our own smurf QB than to unload a bunch of picks for him.F#*K OHIO!!!

Funny to see people talking about trading for Murray or Samuel when I just ran a poll and literally everyone says that Brady wouldn't even have won us playoff games in the Millen era.
Yes, I love Chris Spielman, always have and always will, and it's nice to see "young" blood in the owner's box. But this new regime hasn't done shit. They gave Stafford away for next to nothing. Should've gotten WAY more for him. There was legitimate concern of another winless season last year. And yes, we were better than our record, should've beaten the Ravens, etc. But 3-13-1 just isn't good enough.
We need to just build through the draft so the next regime isn't hamstrung by previous bad decisions. This is our reality."Yeah, we just... we don't want them to go. So that's our motivation."

I agree. People get caught up in seeing QBs who can run, run. I always ask why? You have 2 - 5 options to throw to. Was there no one open? It's fool's gold. I want a QB that can run and get a first under duress. But he has to be a QB first and foremost. Reading defenses. Progressions etc... Very, very important. The worst part of a QB evaluation for the draft is the pro-day. QB pro-days are sh!t. It's more entertainment then sustenance.
Like Willis. Oh he looked great in the rain in Mobile. But there was no real pass rush. He looked awesome at his pro day. Against air. When he faced 11 on 11 and in the actual game? He reverted back to what he could do. Run. No thanks. I guess you could change your whole offense to a RPO style and try to win that way but your backups will also need to be runners or when your starter eventually gets hurt your more then dead in the water.
I like QBs that when you watch them complete passes you think, "Dam. How did he know THAT guy was open."Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

One of my sneaky favorites was Brees. When he hit his back foot the ball was coming out to someone open and in stride. It always looked like he was controlling the game when he was out there. Brady is the same. And MS too. Only problem MS had was a lack of talent around him. Well, until he went to the Rams.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

Offensive linemen Caleb Benenoch and Trenton Scott also worked out for the Bears.
Davenport, 27, entered the NFL as a fourth-round choice of the Texans in 2017. He also has played with the Dolphins and Colts.
He played nine games with four starts with Indianapolis a year ago.

Bad News Bears!
Bears sign David Moore, Greg Stroman

Wide receiver David Moore and cornerback Greg Stroman both tried out for the Bears during this week’s minicamp and both players will be sticking around for a while.
The Bears announced on Thursday that they have signed Moore and Stroman. Both players agreed to one-year deals.
Moore was a Seahawks seventh-round pick in 2017 who spent four years in Seattle before bouncing around the league last year. He signed with the Panthers as a free agent, signed with the Raiders practice squad after he failed to make the team, and then saw regular season action with the Broncos and Packers.
He didn’t catch any passes in those appearances and had 78 catches for 1,163 yards and 13 touchdowns while with the Seahawks.
Stroman was a 2018 seventh-round pick for Washington. He had 38 tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery in 20 regular season appearances, but didn’t see any game action after being cut last August.
