Not a surprise. He needs to rehab his reputation to get another shot.

      • What's astonishing is that there is a decent chance that a 6-10 team will be hosting a playoff game.

          He’s terrible.

          • And yet he beat the Lions.

            • Which doesn't preclude him being terrible, obviously.

              • And the lions beat Alex Smith who is 5X the QB Haskins is.... Makes no sense.

                • In a QB starved league, he’ll land somewhere. He was a top 15 pick just a couple of years ago.

Perfect fit for the Lions. Getting a player pre-lionized would be a time saver

I wonder what they do with Jordan Love. If it was me, I’d be in no hurry to move on from Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers is deserving but the inferior cast stuff isn't true. KC would love to have Scantling and Lazard 6'4, 6'5 guys with great speed. Adams is just a beast and gets most of the action along with TE's because teams can't ignore those guys' speed. They have weapons..lots .It just gets spread around after Adams.

                      • Come on!

Their TE was from the Lions practice squad next to Kelce.

Mahomes has far more and better weapons around him.

Valdez-Scantling and Aaron Jones were both late round draft picks and Lazard and Tonyan were undrafted. These were guys who out there for the taking by anyone. In fact, Tonyan was a Lion. This is the difference between good franchises and the Lions of the world. They successfully mine the draft and even UDFA year after year because they recognize guys that fit what they want to do.

                          • It’s a bit of a trope but Rodgers makes them look better. You can’t put the Packers’ receiving corps next to the Chiefs. You just can’t.

                            • If you offered a trade straight up GB's skill position players for KC's... Green Bay doesn't hesitate to accept and Kansas City laughs you out of the room.

That's not to say that Green Bay is a bunch of talentless hacks (the worst Green Bay receiver is probably better than the Lions best, for example), but the Chiefs assortment of weapons is an embarrassment of riches. They bailed Mahomes out of a lot of stupid throws his first couple of years.

As has been noted in years before, the NFL should change the playoff seeding rules so that winning the division doesn't mean an automatic home playoff game. I'm sure it will get fixed if ever the Cowboys miss out on a home playoff game due the current seeding rules.
