for the most part yeah, I think the one on Mathieu in the end zone was very iffy ... the previous one on the long pass could have been called, and could have been let go, but it wasn't blatantly wrong for sure. Kansas City was simply getting beat and grabbing to make up for it. As Reid said, he didn't see it coming and thought they would just roll. It felt like the Chiefs felt the same way, that they would simply roll and didn't get the type of focus needed. Bleeping Brady threw his family out of the house so he could focus on just the game. I think he wanted this one to stick it to Bill in the worst way and it showed.

I do know those 'iffy' calls make me even more pissed the refs picked up the flag in that Dallas game, when their was nothing iffy about that play. Defensive holding and PI very obvious (which is why the flag was thrown) to begin with.

    • KC was grabbing, TB was being physical without grabbing for the most part. They call a tighter game there could have been some more flags on TB. Not sure it was a clear line in the sand but that’s what I saw. TB seemed to get away with some chucks that were past the zone where that’s allowed.

He played a really good game. He was constantly pushing the pocket back in Mahommes lap. But that play I thought, "Look out!" They Kamalachi crunched him and bent him backwards after.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

KC tried to play the old Seahawks way, and dare the refs to call everything, betting on the officials not doing so to keep the flow of the game.

          They bet wrong.

            ...

Brady recruited AB, Fournette, and GRONK to play in TB. I think Brady played a large role with the culture and mentality of the Bucs.
Bucs defense was incredible today, but I wouldn’t discount the significance of Brady when it comes to winning this championship.
This. Not one player who scored a point yesterday was on that team a year ago. And Fournette, Brown and Gronk as you say were his recruits. We knew the Bucs had some players but no one seriously thought they were a Brady away from a Super Bowl imo.

The game that showed they could be serious was when they beat up Aaron Rodgers and beat him up bad. I love that pass rush and schemes. The perfectly timed corner blitz into the gap when the Chiefs motion hill across - Todd Bowles called a game from heaven.

            • I can't dismiss Brady winning again, but it was entirely reasonable to think they were a QB away from getting to the Super Bowl.

                • When was the last time they even got to the playoffs?

Feel like there’s a bit of wisdom after the event going on here.

                  • Suh had a good game, but it is interesting how he is a complementary piece on a pretty stacked team. When the Lions had him they had a couple really good players around him but it pales in comparison to what you saw last night. On offense with those additions they were stacked. If the Lions are ever going to win something that is the talent level they need to get to. So much of the last 12 seasons have revolved around Stafford but not enough to how limited their talent level was.

                      • Let’s say TB sign up Fournette, Brown and Gronk.........., and then Stafford? Do they win the Super Bowl?
Hand on heart, no DWTesque stirring going on but most definitely no, they don’t. If he didn’t brick it v Brees, he’d have bricked it and built castles v Rodgers. Brady is a huge difference maker in my opinion. Very good to watch him look, read and dispatch throws. He actually makes it look effortless at times.

And there isn’t ANY wisdom after the event going on here with myself or buddies who follow the game...... Brady with the recruits were serious contenders this year regardless of previous years.

                          • Brady is better than Stafford, but Stafford has never had an OL like TBs, or a receiving core where Antonio Brown is your 3rd WR in addition to Gronk & Brate (the season ending injury to former first rounder OJ Howard barely a blip due to their depth). And that's before even factoring in the defense.

So yeah, does Stafford win a SB? I don't know, probably not because it's hard. But Brady chose wisely going to Tampa, and he gets credit for attracting guys like Gronk, Fournette and others.

I wasn’t saying it. Im saying there were people saying look out for Tampa Bay. I thought it was ridiculous myself. I was too busy being 100% convinced this was Stafford year like a proper believer.

Tampa would not get Gronk without Brady.
