Brady recruited AB, Fournette, and GRONK to play in TB. I think Brady played a large role with the culture and mentality of the Bucs.

They hadn’t even been to the playoffs for god knows how long. No one was saying they’re a 44 year old QB away from winning it all.

I don't even know if I was active and if I was I probably would've said I wasn't sure because Brady looked old. They would have to keep him clean.

Well, they did..He looked old again this year too though for the few teams that got pressure on him. They ran 6 blockers a ton this year. Brate got his play cut literally for a 6th Offensive lineman this year. The one that almost caught a TD in the Superbowl.

Anyway, what I said doesn't mean much. Arians threw serious shade on Winston after their season last year saying if they can win games with Winston we can win games with another QB. Which was blatantly obvious coach speak for we won games in spite of Jameis. That was before Brady was an option. They knew he was holding them back as did many many others.

Brady is definitely amazing and deserves immense respect. He is not some paragon that is the only QB this team could win a SB with.

I brought up Flacco because he won a ring on a team that wasn't nearly as good as this Bucs team and he wasn't special. Why is Brady some paragon that is the only guy who can take them there? Why is it hard to believe a team that had the 3rd best offense a year prior with a turnover machine could only win with Brady? What about the throws you saw from Brady this year were only one guy could do that type play? The answer is he took care of the ball and let the talent be the talent. Most of the starters in the league could do the same. People act like Brady turned some shitter into gold.

Brady did his job. He was a facilitator for phenomenal talent. No one should expect more from him at this point. He's still old and would still look old on teams that aren't so deep in talent. The pats were fucked on cap. They couldn't bring in all those guys if they wanted and had much less of a base to start with.

It's crazy to me that we just witnessed a defensive performance that is one the best if not THE best ever in a superbowl and I saw only 1 person mention it. Football fans and media acting like QB's are the only guys on the field is so completely disheartening to me.

If Brady doesn’t sign in TB, I doubt the Bucs trade up for and draft Tristan Wirfs. Wirfs happened to be the best rookie OT in 2020. Narrative in that draft for the Bucs was they had to protect 43 year old Brady. Just my opinion with this point.

Bucs defense gave up 23 vs Washington, 20 vs New Orleans, and 26 vs Green Bay. While that’s not bad, not every QB is going to win those games... unless you have elite Flacco.
On the road vs great defenses (Washington, New Orleans) ... what a run for the Bucs. Incredible accomplishment.

With Brady came Gronk and with that it changes everything. You can't account for the dude, Gronk is always one play away from IR but if you use him sparingly you unleash him in the playoffs. It's very hard to cover him and he wrecks people in the running game.

Very impressive D performance last night, reminiscent of the Broncos against Panthers, just totally stifling. And I’m trying to think if I’ve ever seen a worse game by a pair of OTs, and I’ve been watching the Lions for 40 years. Even the 2nd string DEs were just running right around them in the 2nd half. If it want for Mahomes wizardry Bucs could have had a dozen sacks.
