They nearly beat the Lions twice last year with a QB that couldn’t pass.
To be fair, the Lions last year were uniquely awful at the thing Fields does best (get out in the open field and make things happen with his legs).
Both teams look to be fairly different coming into this year. Detroit should be the pre-season favorite to win the division, but no one gives a banner for that.
Vikings loading up to trade for a QB in the draft? They could package #11 and #23 to do so. Chargers at #5 have been rumored to looking for a trade down partner.
I feel like we’ve seen examples of this in recent history. Though the Saints weirdly did this in 2022 and didn’t end up drafting a QB. Yes, the 2024 QB class is drastically different than crappy 2022.

Seems odd that they'd do that this far in advance of the draft -- and the Vikings are giving up draft capital in the trade to move up. I mean, if they want to package 23 to move up from 11, then they should be able to use what they just traded to get 23.
I would love the Viqueens to occupy the bottom spot for about 3 years.
Fuck you Fran Tarkenton and Allen Page for killing my childhood 😂
Also Willy Clay of course

Yeah, the younger guys don't understand what the Vikes did to us when the Lions had pretty good teams and the packers and Bears were irrelevant.
Fuck those purple bastards
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

It wasn't just Fields...Lamar Jackson torched our defense last fall @ BAL....

Regardless of the Point values for picks, teams have hard ons for first round picks. If they needed more firsts and the team said give me the 2025 vikings first, it wouldn't have much value in the chart because anything can happen, so it's usually treated as a late pick in the round number wise. If you see this as a start of a rebuild and know you are probably not going to do well you do not want to trade a top ten pick likes it's only worth that of pick #30. This way they use lower round picks to get #20 and the other team gets to say they got two firsts for the move.

Rumors are 1-2-3 could all go QB...Even if the Vikings move up to 5, they may be looking at the 4th best QB in the draft....I dont know if that is JJ McCarthy or Penix or someone else, but they may not get the caliber of QB they hope for even trading up.
Especially, how do you know what Calib will do. He has once a decade skills, apparently.
So did Bryce Young. We’ll see how that goes
F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
Jad looks at this like the Da Bears fans on the classic SNL skit. All rose colored glasses.
Well I was certainly right this year so you’re welcome.

Wow that’s a smokin trade for Minny. Basically 2 seconds for a first. I’d make that trade
