I would say even if he gets bit by injury and misses a couple games. SB has much more impact than Swift. Swift had a career year but it was an amazing start it then he slowly wore down.

        • Looking at what Cousins is getting to go to Atlanta and the talk of Rodgers' return to the Jets it seems that there is little concern for recovery from an Achilles injury being an issue anymore.

Do you all think that there is any issue with these guy's health coming back?

          • They aren’t runners and aren’t going to be involved in explosive plays that would typically be hampered by an Achilles injury. As long as it heals, should be fine.

Dan Marino was about Cousin's and Rodgers' age when he tore his Achilles and he was never the same. Of course, that was a long time ago and technology has improved, but I still find it interesting that we haven't seen anyone bring this up.

              • The first full year following his achilles Marino threw for 30 TDs and nearly 4,500 yards.

OK. I'll take the L on that one. Ha!

In a recent interview with Omaha Productions’ Kevin Clark, Marino spoke about Rodgers’ injury and the long rehab process that he had to take on 30 years ago. “It’s tough. I went through that Achilles thing,” Marino said. “You never know when it’s going to happen. It’s a rare injury, but when it happens, it’s devastating. And he worked so hard in this offseason and all the things he was doing to continue his career somewhere else and you feel bad for him.” Marino, 62, noted that medical advancements have made it easier to return from Achilles tears but called it a “very tedious rehab” and said he still feels the effects of the injury “It didn’t actually heal all the way,” he said. “It was elongated, so I had to deal with not being able to get up on my toe for the rest of my career, basically. That’s why I used to wear that boot you saw and a lot of people see it in pictures. That helped me kind of move. But I was able to deal with it. You just adjust. You adjust to your body. You adjust to the situation. You adapt to it and I guarantee Aaron Rodgers, if he still wants to play, will be able to deal with that.”

                  • Every injury and player is different for sure, but it's just a completely different ball game than it was 30 years ago. Kevin Durant tore his achilles and barely missed a beat in a sport that requires non-stop explosive movements. As long as there are no complications, QBs should be fine.

Ravens O-Line is leagues better than that mess the Titans wheeled out there. Plus Lamar is a still a threat to run. Can you imagine the RPO and PA game with those two?
