I’d take Clowney and Fuller in a heartbeat. The Lions have such a strong young cast they could use those aging stars to fill in the pieces.

Probably not for the Lions, I would be shocked if they paid a free agent a contract that is at least 25 AAV.

I tend to agree but if you think Jones is a force multiplier to the extent that you think edge and CB are much much lesser needs, because you need to double Hutch and Jones.....

If they could get Jones next season for 1 and only season of big money on the Lions books. Hell yes you’d do it.

The problem is that’s not going to happen and we have too many extensions that need to be done. We need that money elsewhere

Their secondary was much worse than the pass rush. Too much money for Chris Jones.

The DL besides McNeil and Hutch weren’t great. The CBs are terrible and definitely need a massive overhaul but the DL needs help as well. The offense is really good but if we’re going to at least match what we did last year we need dudes

I didn't say they should shun DL, but I personally wouldn't break the bank for Chris Jones.

The line wasn't great at getting sacks, but they did get pressures and they were really good against the run.

Sign Kendall Fuller and Jadaveon Clowney and call it a day.

Saw someone with a Chase Young/Chidobe Awuzie combo proposal along with resigning Jackson. Same sort of thinking - get good starters but don’t break the bank.

If you listened to Holmes or read his statements, a Chris Jones signing (or any of the big tickets free agents) would be shocking. I know I've said this numerous times but everything about Holmes and Campbell has actually been what the promise of the Patriot Way was supposed to be with Quinn. They are more about the mid level free agents than signing anything big. Most of the free agent signings that were higher paying were mostly prove it one year deals

I think Chris Jones is great, but he is great for the Chiefs. I'm not sure he is the same player for the Lions, I'm sure he would probably get at least 10 sacks, but for the scratch he is going to get on the open market he would have to overperform what he did in KC

If the Lions were looking for a backup QB I would take a flyer on Mac Jones or Zach Wilson. Playing behind Goff would take the pressure off. And if they had a chance behind our line, it could probably help build their confidence.

No way on either, Hooker can do the job. Wilson and Jones would be expensive.

I don’t see it. If anything they add a low cost vet for training camp but that’s about and I think Zach Wilson belongs in the CFL. He was so bad when given numerous attempts.

Yeah maybe but besides running the ball he never showed an ounce of NFL QB play and he has one of the best WRs in the league to chuck to

Unless he competely falls on his face in preseason, Hooker is our QB2.

Our QB3 is going to be a vet who is (a) cheap (b) good at helping his fellow QBs prepare for games and (c) can play competently in a pinch but probably not in a way to help us win against a good team.
