wcfwtf analyzed and re-analyzed the Matt Patricia led Lions and determined the problem was Matthew Stafford. Stafford could never win a playoff game! He didn't have it. This is mensa level shit.

I’m torn. On one hand I’m glad he got his ring but I’m also disappointed he didn’t want to stay because I think he would have done well with this regime. I would have felt the same way if Barry had asked for a trade instead of retiring. But Barry was special to me because I’m a team first fan and I would have rooted for him if he had played anywhere.3,062 carries, 15,269 yards, 5.0 yards/carry, 99 TD
10x Pro Bowl, 6x All-Pro, 1997 MVP, 2004 NFL HoF

It's too bad we had to watch a truly awful coach with Matt Patricia waste three years of Stafford's prime. I don't blame him for wanting out. But I agree that it would have been great to see him with this staff But after having to deal with that character, he did what any sane Hall of Fame guy should do.

He got the shit beat out of him here. Not only this staff, but I imagine he'd be awesome with this roster.Lions Fans.

The speed of the rebuild process was greatly sped up with the Straford trade. It would have been great to see Stanford win here, but without the trade we would have a much different roster"This is an empty signature. Because apparently carrying a quote from anyone in this space means you are obsessed with that person. "

I opened a can of worms
I admit I took the Stafford person more personal then Ii should.
Stafford has all the ingredients you want in a football player.
Except in my opinion 1 crucial quality that coming to an organization like the Lions he needed.
He was too much of a “team” guy instead of being the selfish “win” at all cost mentally.
Maybe it doesn’t work in the NFl. Could be.
But his devotion to coaches and the ruffle no feathers personality wasn’t going to change the 50 years of stink he got into.
It was doomed from the start with really no fault of his own

Here is moment I told myself the Lions were not gonna win with him.
Hr was caught up in the moment with what his loser coach was doing on the sidelines instead of showing any kind of urgency to win the effin game.
The announcer even said”does somebody want to win this game”

The coaching staff got much better than what we saw with Patricia. Brad Holmes and company are much better than anything then Lions have had in the front office. And they have upped the talent level quickly. That meant Goff could come in here and be a team guy just like Stafford
There has never been a quarterback who has come into a bad situation and willed a franchise to be better. Never happened. It doesn't really happen in sports unless you count Hollywood movies. You can argue that LeBron maybe willed the Cavs in his second go around with them. But in general, it does not happen, if you are relying on a quarterback to change your franchise like that, your franchise is hopeless.

Thank you Deb. Yes his herorics are well documented. I guess you didn’t understand the post I made.
Irony is one of life’s greatest mysteries.
But I didn’t think anybody would get it. But I tried to be as transparent as I could be.
your criticism to my “feelings” doesn’t change them.
Did you want a better explanation to give you satisfaction? I guess I can’t provide one.
Life has a lot of grey area.
