His business will never be finished because like Aaron Rodgers he has a pathological desire to be in the news. He, like Rodgers, should wear a shirt that says, "Look at me! Please."

Why not continue to play? What else is he doing? I know I shouldn't, but I am glad he's back.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

My guess is that Watson ends up in Miami by choice and they can make a decent enough offer to please the Texans. Although they obviously want him out of the conference.

Tom Brady’s “final” touchdown pass ball sells for more than $518,000

Timing is everything.
One day before Tom Brady announced his return to the NFL, someone paid $518,628 at auction for the ball that supposedly was Brady’s final touchdown pass of his career.
As it turns out, it was his final touchdown pass of 2021.
Brady is back, and some poor bastard is out more than 500 large for a football that lacks the significance the buyer thought it did. The ball, thrown by Brady during the fourth quarter of the epic playoff loss to the Tams, was promptly thrown into the stands by receiver Mike Evans, who scored the touchdown.
Given that the person paid that much for a football, chances are that the buyer has plenty of other money. But the buyer now has more than $500,000 less than yesterday, with a ball of limited significance to show for it.

BAKER MAYFIELDQB, CLEVELAND BROWNS
Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson reports the Browns "have fielded exploratory trade calls" about Baker Mayfield.
Wilson's report comes amid another report that the Browns could swap Mayfield -- along with multiple first rounders -- for Deshaun Watson. An injury-marred 2021 and a dicey relationship with Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski has raised real questions about Mayfield's future with the Browns. Mayfield, guaranteed $18.8 million in 2022, could land with a QB-needy team if the Browns are able to upgrade at quarterback this offseason. Cleveland's offense could look drastically different in 2022 with Amari Cooper in the fold and Mayfield and Jarvis Landry possibly elsewhere.

DESHAUN WATSONQB, HOUSTON TEXANS
Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot said a Browns trade package for Deshaun Watson would have to include multiple first round draft picks, Baker Mayfield, and possibly other players.
Cabot cited a source who said the Texans would want Mayfield as part of a massive trade package to acquire Watson, whose legal situation has cleared up somewhat over the past week. He still faces sexual assault allegations from more than 20 women. Cabot said the Browns are "leaning" toward making a serious offer for the Texans quarterback this offseason. Watson -- who will likely face a suspension in 2022 -- has been linked to a host of QB-needy teams, including the Seahawks, Saints, and Panthers. Getting rid of Mayfield would be a best-case scenario for the Browns if they traded for Watson; keeping Baker aboard could create a hostile and awkward locker room atmosphere if Watson landed in Cleveland. Cabot said the Browns "are still conducting their own thorough investigation into Watson and the allegations, and must not only be comfortable with what they find but also confident that no such accusations will be made in the future." The team has proven willing to acquire player with ugly pasts, including Kareem Hunt after he was caught on camera in November 2018 kicking a woman.

SAQUON BARKLEYRB, NEW YORK GIANTS
NJ.com's Zack Rosenblatt said the Giants could be open to trading Saquon Barkley for a third or fourth round draft pick.
Rosenblatt said "buzz at the combine was that Barkley could probably net a fourth-round pick in a trade, maybe a conditional pick to bump it up to a third based on playing time or performance-based incentives." New Giants general manager Joe Schoen said two weeks ago that he would be "open to anything" when asked if the team would trade Barkley this offseason. The oft-injured Barkley came back from an ACL tear in 2021 only to suffer a serious ankle injury when accidentally stepping on his teammate's cleat, costing him a month of playing time. Look for the new Giants officials to correct the mistakes of the previous regime and get what they can for Barkley before he becomes a free agent at the end of the 2022 season.

A conditional 3rd or 4th for Barkley might be worth a bite, it doesn't even sound like they want the pick this year.
I know he's had a couple of down injury years....but he is (or was) a very talented back...he's still young....he's in a contract year (so he's motivated).
It might not be a terrible calculated risk.

But can he stay healthy is the real question and 7 mil for a RB is a lot. Your kind of paying for who he used to be. IDK if he's gotten over all his injuries so...
