I wouldn't. RB lifespans might not be long, but they're probably going to be longer than QBs neck deep in criminal and civil issues.

And even IF Watson somehow emerges unscathed from all those charges... what are the chances he's going to even BE the same QB after a year not playing or practicing?

How is it any different from a QB being out for a season through injury? He’ll be just fine on the field.

Right, might have to put in a little more work in training camp. At most maybe 1 game to get the rust off. It's a non-factor unless the dude packed on 50lbs. I'd still be absolutely shocked if he sees any kind of serious punishment. Too much money involved in a star QB.

It's clearly not according to his statement. He didn't say he was quitting altogether though. Said he's stepping away for his mental health. Wonder if the Lane Johnson situation resonated with him.

Don't think they'd even call. Trading for a vet makes no sense. If they were to actually trade for a receiver it would be one of the handful of former early picks that aren't panning out for a late pick. Or at least that's how it SHOULD be looked at. No guarantees they don't do something stupid.
