  • Kenny Young traded to Denver for peanuts. I’m surprised Holmes didn’t jump on that with his LAR ties. He’s a good NFL LB which we need.
    F#*K OHIO!!!

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

    • Watson is a fantastic QB but who knows how long he’ll be out for. This year and maybe next year?

I’d do it if they were to take the LAR picks straight up but they wouldn’t take that. We’re pretty much stuck with Goff until next year anyway. Watson would be 28 if and when he could start up again.

Turns out, Young, who has 46 tackles and 2.0 sacks while starting all seven games for the Rams this year, was moved because one, he is in the final year of his rookie contract that pays him $2.183 million this year and Los Angeles only has $3.1 million in salary cap space, and, two, Los Angeles wanted to make playing-time room for two young linebackers, third-round rookie Ernest Jones and Travin Howard.
Doubtful Young will be there next year and I doubt he would stick around for the Lions either and there really isn't a point to grab a "loaner" player in a rebuild year.

You want to give up two firsts for a guy that may never play again?

As some may be able to remember, we had a troll that came here before the GB game. He ticked me off so bad I called him a terrible name (a same sex slur). But, the name calling was the tip of the mountain. Deb was gracious when she told me my words were immature. They were terrible and I personally vowed to myself to not think or accept anyone talking like that around me. Yeah, we talked like that 5 decades ago and we were dumb. We now know better. I knew better but in the absence of have something better to say I went there. I can't allow myself to be lowered like that.
NO Packer fan is worth getting that kind of rise out of you my man. Those guys are assholes.

Besides that dude is just pissed b/c he wife is boinking a Lions fan due to his adverse reaction to Viagra.

I'm not saying he's innocent. He's more than likely guilty but that doesn't mean they can prove it. That's where these cases die.

Being a shitbag should matter for the face of the franchise but time and time again NFL owners have shown it only matters if you're disposable. If Watson wanted to play in Houston he'd be playing now.
I can't see this playing out until next year (during or after the season) so a team may take a chance, but it could go bad. If no-one doesn't, the Lions and Eagles will probably be in the best position to pounce.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

If he doesn't go before the deadline the Lions certainly could become players with the cap no longer an issue. I still wouldn't see him wanting to come here barring some large change at WR.

Our options at reciever for a trade are limited to rookie contracts for the most part. Anyone else who is cheap enough for the most part are 1yr rentals. So, you're looking at guys like Harry, Aiyuk, Mims who can't get on the field for their respective teams that don't have the strongest of receiving units. Not sure they'd really fare any better here.

Micheal Thomas would be affordable since he's on the last year of his rookie deal but that's a likely expensive pipe dream. One reliant on his relationship with Payton being on good terms now being a lie to save face. I also don't picture him as a guy that wouldn't be a distraction here and he'd more than likely be unhappy with Goff as his QB. He'd also be more of a long term answer since he'd probably not play for a few more weeks

If they’d flexed over the corpse after one of those needless hits causing injury the zebras would’ve had a flag out in milliseconds.

It depends on the timeline. IF all of this is cleared up prior to the start of the 2022 season it won't happen. If it is cleared up after the 2022 season we will have a decent shot. I fully expect them to invest at least 1 high pick (probably the Ram pick) on a #1 WR with another being selected between rounds 3-5. Then all they need offensively is the QB. That's a better situation then most of the other suitors.
