3 Arz (drafted). MIA (traded) and SF (FA)

Seems like more I know. The word is his personality gets in the way of success. Allegedly, he is a kid that has had things handed to him and he doesn't have the hunger to succeed or the persona to ingratiate himself to his teammates.

But, Nah. Your narrative. It's an indictment of the team that drafted him. All teams didn't draft him. As far as we know the other teams may have had him much lower.

What I do agree with you is that every year teams (and fans) and draft mockers put some of these QBs higher then they should. Every year is not a good year for every position. The top guy, Baker Mayfield, has been better lately, but excuse me if I'm not on that bandwagon. Darnold, the 3rd pick, also got replaced and the team that drafted him just took another QB (by the 2021 3rd pick). That year's QBs leave a lot to be desired. If it were not for Josh Allen, I would term it terrible. Lamar Jackson has been celebrated, but I still don't know if he is a runner or a passer. I like QBs who can pass first and if everything is locked up, can get a first down (move the sticks).

BTW, the 2022 potential QB draftees seem closer to Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield lite, then anyone that would be an improvement over Goff. Soooooooo 2023 then

If he brings some of that $$$$ he can ban that fool all he wants. Hales, he isn't even in the league anymore anyway. We should make him do some Survivor type crap to get back in. Make him send us a video of him eating a bag of worms or something.

IMHO they just want someone they could easier cut after Blough/Boyle get back healthy. With less backlash.

        49ers are waiving Josh Rosen

Josh Rosen has spent time with four teams since the Cardinals drafted him in the first round in 2018. The quarterback will need a fifth chance if he is to make it in the NFL.

The 49ers are waiving Rosen, Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports.

Rosen went 10-of-15 for 93 yards and an interception in last weekend’s preseason game against the Chiefs. He played 33 snaps.

The Cardinals made Rosen the 10th overall choice in 2018, and he played 14 games with 13 starts as a rookie. Arizona moved on in 2019 after drafting Kyler Murray with the first overall choice. A trade sent Rosen to Miami, where he appeared in six games with three starts in 2019.

Rosen signed with the Buccaneers’ practice squad last season, and the 49ers signed him to their active roster late last season. He did not appear in a game in 2020 but signed a futures deal with San Francisco in February.

In his career, Rosen has completed 54.8 percent of his passes for 2,845 yards with 12 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. His teams went 3-13 in his starts.
not that Rosen will be a world beater but I’d much rather have him than any of our backups

                  • Rosen is trash and an arrogant so and so. Said he’d make every team that didn’t pick him pay in the NFL.

And he was right, as a practice squad body he’s already got through half of the league.

                    • Oof, I was so wrong about Rosen during that draft season. Rosen didn't bust out in 4 years because of an injury or off-the-field problems like a lot of high draft pick busts. Turned out to be terrible on the field.
The college accuracy, ability to read the field, mechanics, pro system experience, and CHOSEN ROSEN hype train... didn't matter.

                      • One of the biggest shocks to the system for any rookie is how the speed of the game ramps up from college to the pros. The top guys you played against in college are suddenly average players at best.

And that system shock hits QBs harder than any other position. That beast of a DE that gave your LT fits is barely good enough to get rotation time on an NFL roster, and in his place is someone like J.J. Watt. What was considered blanket coverage in college is now considered wide open in the NFL. And to top it all off, even though coaches are more accommodating than they used to be, chances are they're going to be asking you to do a lot of things you were never asked to do at the NCAA ranks.

You have to REALLY put the work in, and it's probably not going to yield immediate results. Rosen, from what I gathered, wouldn't even do the bare minimum.

                        • If Rosen had any potential, the teams would not have given up on him in a New York minute.

                          • I was way wrong about Rosen, I though he was going to be the best QB of that entire class. I was slightly off on that prediction

                            • He gives off some strong Andre Ware vibes. The story back in the day was that the Lions knew Ware stunk after the first minicamp. I feel like that's what happens with Rosen.

                              • Cardinals decision to dump Rosen has been validated. Felt bold at the time. Smart choice.

Everyone ripped on Josh Allen too coming out of college from that draft class. All of the internet memes and such making fun of his accuracy. Not going to lie that all of the chatter swayed me into souring on Allen. Felt like that “Black Mirror” episode about cyber bullying.
Now Josh Allen is the QB you’d want from this class… followed by Lamar.

                                1. Josh Allen
                                2. Lamar Jackson
                                3. Baker Mayfield
                                4. Sam Darnold
                                5. Josh Rosen
