Successful quarterbacks come from all over. Using the theory of Jad, you could make the argument against every one of these quarterbacks drafted this year. Also if you look at the top quarterbacks over the course of the NFL, you would be hard pressed to find any quarterbacks whose success was predicted because of the college they came from.
Jad, the fact you continue to tie Fields to "running QBs" makes you look either spiteful (because he beat Michigan's az every time he faced them) or clueless. Dude is way different then those guys. He's actually closer to Russell Wilson then Terrell Pryor.
And I get the CHI thing. (F da Bears) But, until Nagy is escorted out the building, he's going to have to use every tool at his disposal. Early on Tribiscuits would use his legs to extend drives and he was making things happen. Nagy stopped him from running and he would just get pummeled because defenses have that offense figured out and all receivers are covered. So I expect he'll look more like the young Cam Newton.
And lastly, revisionist history doesn't favor your argument. YOU said Mac Jones was one of your favs. When did he get drafted? After Fields right? So he should be gutter trash by your QB theories.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

Oklahoma has Sam Bradford and Baker Mayfield, Bradford didn't do much besides warm Gonz' heart. The jury is out on Mayfield but he's a better pitchman than a QB. Nothing about Clemson produced Trevor Lawrence, he would have been drafted if he was eligible after his Freshman year. He won the job in preseason, Dabo Swinney didn't impart that much knowledge in a month of practices. Clemson is as responsible for his talent or Deshaun Watson's talent as St. Vincent/St. Mary's was for producing LeBron.
You are trying to find patterns where there is no pattern.Last edited by froot loops; June 3, 2021, 10:12 AM.

Kyler Murray has been a hit so far. TBD about Jalen Hurts.
They only played 1 season at Oklahoma, but it’d still count it because they ascended in college while being coached by Lincoln Riley.
Purdue is the true “QB U” if you ask me. David Blough, among others.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Tenn Titans landed Julio Jones for a 2nd round pick next year and a 4th rounder the year after. I’m surprised GB didn’t make this kind of move to make Rodgers happy.
That Tenn offense is loadedF#*K OHIO!!!
