    • Sorry - was cut. What a waste of talent.

      • I think there's a good chance there's some mental health issues at play with him. Drugs seem to be involved too and that's very hard to change if you don't change the people in your life. You combine the two and that's a tough thing to overcome.

        • Maybe he just doesn't want to play football, of all the sports I think football has the highest ratio of guys who are in it solely for the check.

          • That's certainly possible and I'd think more common among the bigger guys. Some of those guys never planned on playing at all until the high school coach pushed for them to play for their size.

              • Great move for Miami. To drop 9 spots and grab two 1sts and a 3rd is awesome. That’s what we got for Stafford.

                • Also destroys a lot of chance for the Lions to trade down, because QBs are pretty much a lock to go 1-2-3.

That is a ton more than they got for Stafford. They didn't have to take on a bad contract to get that haul.
They leveraged "potential" about as far as you can leverage it - sight unseen at the NFL level.

                    • That is NOT a "ton more," for Chrissake. It's pretty much the exact same deal with a pick swap instead of a player swap.

Look, they threw in that extra 1st rd pick to get us to take Goff.
                        Note: I didn't say a metric fukton - I said a ton.

                        • Who CARES why the Rams threw in that extra pick?

The haul is damn near the exact same; two future 1sts and a 3rd. There is no reality where dropping 9 spots in the 1st round is a "lot" more than a player.

Well, except the alternate reality you live in where viable QBs are a dime a dozen, I guess.

                          • Then Miami traded for Phillys pick. I think they want Chase (maybe Sewell)

The haul isn't the same when one trade - trades both players and salary.
The other trades simply based on "completely untapped potential - for a completely unknown talent being thrust into the NFL.

MIA isn't working from the standard script - and it is apparently catching people off guard.

                              • Chicago should really make a play for Garoppolo. He’d be a perfect fit there. He’s not a superstar QB but they’d certainly be a playoff team with JG there.

                                Dalton is terrible
                                F#*K OHIO!!!
