I would argue one could only go so long espousing anti-statist views into a statist forum before they cross the line into participation in statism. Not very long at all really.
So many contributions to the state. So much good work rallying the state against anti-statist ideology being done here.

OK, sorry all - I just went back and re-read chemos last post, and now I see the source of our miscommunication.

In introducing the concept of scientism, I did not mean to imply that the scientific method had any place in any discussion of politics.

The scientific method is only referenced to highlight the flaws of scientism, which is constantly applied to political issues (and called "science.")

I don't have a religion, I have a philosophy based on individualism and liberty. I have no problem attacking statism as a religion.

And yes, I have been a catalyst in several people moving to the individualist/anarchist philosophy, or at least to Libertarianism. I don't take any credit for their transition, however. People find liberty when they are interested, and I'm happy to be a sounding board for them. It takes a while, and I've found that the best thing I can do is find out what they value most in life, and then show how statism / the state violates what they value most.

If one is genuinely interested, this isn't really the forum for me to do anything of value. It's not a good place to discuss ideas you're interested in if you've got a peanut gallery around you attacking everything discussed. So again, that's not my purpose here.

However, there are people who are reading that are not participating. Some of them may be interested, and seeing how rabidly you guys attack ideas of peace and liberty is invaluable.
