I know how to install an apk in Android without using google apps. I'm also aware of Epic Games and their efforts to provide their Android Fortnite app outside the google store - to avoid paying google their tribute. Google went on the war path over that...never did see how that turned out.

Just this morning I'm at the mozilla site, looking to install firefox on my Android. Can't find a link that doesn't go thru the google store yet...

Normally, I harbor a roughly equal disdain for both left- and right-statism. It tends to alternate with which side is holding the presidency, because that typically emboldens the ideologues that hold the ring.

But during this last run of the right holding the ring, the leftists couldn't even let me enjoy four years of bashing right-statism, because the Trump presidency only brought out the worst in them. They've gone on the warpath with all the worst manifestations of their shit ideology.

Pretty much everyone getting their feathers ruffled here is from the left-statist paradigm. Some of you are less ideological - you "picked a side" somewhere in your 20s or 30s because that's what you're supposed to do. I get it. My rants against left-statism exclude you personally when you don't agree with the ideas I'm attacking. The more vocal ones tend to be the most ideologically committed and radical leftists - some of the most horrible people in the world.

Over time I've peeked in on the Forum chicken-fight left-statism / right-statism "debates." ("debates" that always look like children arguing the existence of Santa Claus...)

There appears to be only a handful of right-statists on here, and I see them attacked by self-righteous leftists and overwhelmed to the point that they just tap out. They're not equipped to expose leftism for the horrible ideology it is, because they're intellectually stunted by sharing the same religion. Statism, by definition, forces one to harbor philosophical self-contradiction.

My entire philosophy was built on two primary themes: An understanding and appreciation for the dynamics of self-organizing systems vs. command and control ideologies, and a quest to rid myself of philosophical self-contradiction.

The latter was the key to my dragging myself (kicking and screaming) from the religion of statism once and for all. No one can argue for the state without contradicting themselves, because a belief in statism is an entire indoctrination into rationalizing conflicting ideas. (I posted a short list earlier: war vs. murder, taxation vs. theft, etc.) You can get a college degree in "political science" <snort> which is advanced training in rationalizing and apologizing for state violence.

The state is the most vicious, horrible, murderous institution to ever plague mankind. If you advocate or apologize for its violence, I'll call you out on it.

Where were you last summer? All this 'statism' talk didn't apply then huh? I see a lot of posts about leftist statists and a couple where you admonish both, but none where you take a stick to the right in and by itself.

The horrors of left-statism exemplified:

Left-statists deny your individualism. It's because they're collectivists.

But it's worse than simple denial of individualism - If you have a certain pigment in your skin, they'll pigeon-hole you into one of their political groups called "minorities" and use you to advance their agenda. Then, when a right-statist objects to the agenda, they'll scream you down as "RACIST!!!"

This is how they claim the moral high ground, by showing how much they "care" and how much you don't - and villainizing you to boot. Right-statists aren't equipped to refute left-statists claim to the moral high ground, however, because they too are collectivists. Many from the right show a slight inclination toward individualism, but it's thwarted by their religion (statism) and its philosophy (collectivism.)

Left-statists don't give a shit about what they call "minorities." By denying any one person their individualism, they're denying their humanity. That's the first rule.

But then once they've got a number of individuals rounded up into one of their politically-expedient groups, they unleash the violence of the state upon them in an effort to "help" them - because, of course the state is the source of everything good in the world, and if they employ its violence in a way they want, they can make the world a better place. The solution to every problem is always more state violence.
