Au contraire, crusty old statist. I've only been an anarchist for a dozen or so years. Prior to that, I was one of the minarchists in your religion. Over the past decade I have learned a lot about the state and how it destroys life and liberty, while advancing my understanding of voluntaryism.

You, on the other hand, haven't changed a bit. Still barking out WaRLoRdZ like someone pulled a string on your chest, and trying to rally other people against me for talking about what freedom is. It's obvious that you have not, and will not, entertain any idea that you don't already hold near and dear - I have no delusions about that. You are one of the True Believers.

The only thing missing from that Marvin Jones touchdown reversal is that it wasn't a first round playoff game.

    • What's "utopian" is to believe that you can legitimize a monopoly on violence and believe it exists to serve the cause of individual liberty. No amount of evidence to the contrary can be allowed to upset such a utopian belief in the True Believer.

      • Wait. You are describing Canada. I think we built the wrong damn wall.

If we do though, let's put in a drive-thru window to get Timmy Hortons and prescription meds.
Where are we going; and what's up with this hand basket?

        • True believer?

          No. A realist.

What's nonsense is your idea that the collapse of a state means that there won't be a "monopoly on violence." All it would do is shift that monopoly into the hands of people that will only listen to other violence.

In Dave's word, "I'll plow your roads for some of you corn"

In the real world. "'ll plow the roads and take all of your corn, because I am stronger than you"

                • Speaking of walls, did you see the MAGA crowd acknowledging that walls don't work? Capture+_2021-01-07-21-11-12.png

Wouldn't that violence be more distributed, by definition, if the monopoly is broken up?

CGVT, you keep coming back to this accusation that I want peace and love with tyrants, that I want to give them a coke and a smile...what if someone declares to rule over me, and instead I snap his neck?

                    • It could happen.

But the reality is that the powerful will take power. The weak will be subjugated. Some of the weak will come together (most likely under a leader) and depose the tyrant. Other tyrants will take their rightful place. My tribe will fight your tribe, being led by our leaders. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was.

                      • So the cops let the protestors in, I'm seeing...

                        Could that be because

                        1) they aren't afraid of Bubba and the boys 'cause theys white. "Hell yeah Nancy Pelosi, let's let Cletus and the gang in our sacred halls to protest! Theys harmless!"

                        2) Some of the cops themselves are (gasp) Republicans! Some of them even MAGA! Yes Dorothy, cops are political too!

                        3) They were let in to be villainized, to foment the exact reaction that occurred - more division and hatred between the identity politics factions...

                        4) the whole thing was an infiltration and a setup to turn what was going to be a peaceful protest of one of the slave groups into a massive event...

Maybe a few more I haven't thought of yet...I don't profess to know the answer, btw, but I can see that the media and the court of public opinion has made its judgement.

                        • Regarding #3 & #4...

Any theory that requires more than, say, five people to remain quiet in order to succeed is just a bill of goods being sold to you, IMHO. In the words of Lindsey Graham: Count me out.

However, I am acutely aware of the CIAs meddling in other lands, and always remain open to the idea of their nefarious schemes on der vaterland.

                            • The CIA can't even keep their meddling secret for more than a handful of years, and they are literally PAID to keep secrets.
