These stats mean nothing. All the numbers effected drastically by covid shut downs, reopening and stimulus etc. Skews numbers greatly both directions. One thing you can be sure of is they both expanded the debt by massive amounts.

    • Some state governments basically shut down their economies during the beginning of COVID. People were so bored in their houses that a trip to the grocery store
      was like going on vacation.

These accomplishments are of great importance to the people of our nation and the world. A dozen major accomplishments follow:

        1. President Biden fought for and signed the American Rescue Plan which protected workers’ pensions, provided funding to communities and businesses devastated by COVID-19, lowered or eliminated insurance premiums for millions of lower- and middle-income families, provided funds for affordable housing, provided money for public safety and crime reduction, provided support to small business, expanded food assistance programs in homes and schools, expanded child care programs, invested in mental health and health care centers, added $40 billion for investing in American workers, provided funding to the economies of tribal nations, and supported families with children. Child poverty has already been cut in half as a result of his efforts.

        2. He signed a $1 trillion infrastructure bill to repair our roads, waterways, bridges and railroads, and bring high-speed internet to rural communities. Also included is money for public transit and airports, electric vehicles and low emission public transportation, power infrastructure, and clean water.

        3. Biden signed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. This law provides incentives for states to pass red flag laws, expands the law that prevents people convicted of domestic abuse from gun ownership, expands background checks on young people between 18 and 21 who want to buy a gun, and allocates funds for the mental health of young people.

        4. He instituted an executive order raising standards for law enforcement agencies, with particular emphasis on use-of-force policies, availability of body cameras, and recruitment and retention of officers.

        5. He brought the unemployment rate down to a low of 3.5%, matching the lowest rate before the pandemic. Biden’s administration has added 13.2 million jobs since he came into office, replacing all of the jobs that were lost at the beginning of the COVID pandemic. Today there are more people in America working today than ever before!

        6. He signed a bill to help veterans who have long been suffering from the effects of burn pits.

        7. Biden ended the war in Afghanistan, the longest war in U.S. history. Over 120,000 people were safely evacuated, double the number calculated by the most optimistic experts.

        8. He has steadfastly supported Ukraine after this democratic country was unjustly invaded by Putin and Russia, and has successfully led the free world by lobbying NATO and other allies to add their financial and military support.

        9. He signed the Inflation Reduction Act, making health insurance plans more affordable, lowering drug costs, preventing millions of Americans from losing their Affordable Care Act insurance, and requiring Medicare to negotiate the cost of 10 high-cost prescription drugs.

        10. Biden signed the CHIPS and Science Act, providing funding to produce semiconductor chips for automobiles, cellphones, laptops, gaming consoles, washing machines, etc. here in the Unites States rather than continuing to rely on China.

        11. His administration has provided over $369 million to reduce greenhouse emissions by 40% in the next seven years and promote clean energy technologies, moving our country to greater self-sufficiency in energy production.

        12. He signed the Postal Service Reform Act to modernize and stabilize the U.S. Post Office and also to help it continue to deliver mail six days every week, focusing on on-time delivery.

Other accomplishments include the reestablishment of respect among our allies on the world stage, the Violence Against Women Act, the Respect for Marriage Act, pardoning those convicted of simple marijuana possession, appointing Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson (the first Black woman on the Supreme Court), forgiving certain student loans, and electoral reforms to ensure that election results are not undermined.

These significant accomplishments reveal the Biden administration as an extremely progressive, productive administration — one that has already had a dramatic and very positive impact on all Americans.

        • Don’t forget the record high stock market, CGVT. And the falling gas prices. President can’t do much to influence those day in and day out, but MAGA loved to blame Biden, so he must get the credit for falling prices now.

Lol I think you copied this directly from Bidens campaign website. Literally none of this worthless legislation did any good. Average person wasn't effected in any meaningful way. Just talk to any random person off the street and ask them if their life improved over the last 3 years. Overwhelming amount will say no. You need to follow your own advice. Stay off Twitter and tiktok and pay attention to the real world. There is a very small percentage of US users who even use tiktok that is the very vocal minority. But seems to be taken as majority opinion.

The last point is the most ridiculous. Respect among allies?! If that respect is what has us actively involved in like 4 global conflicts and US soldiers dying then I would rather not have the respect. We are 1 wrong move away from WW3 and currently being attacked by Iran through drone strikes.

Lol gas prices had to fall after hitting record highs. They remained low under trump. Stock market is effected very little by any president. Stats show that clearly as they rise and fall nearly the sane regardless of whether a dem or republican is elected. They are likely rising now on speculation that trump will cut taxes on larger corporations and increase profits and spending. Not saying that is good or bad but certainly investors are speculating.

                      • The Mango Mussolini add 8 Trillion dollars to the national debt.

                        that is 8 TRILLION

Biden has reduced the debt by 6.3 TRILLION dollars.

By election day, maybe we will have fully recovered from the fiasco that was the Trump error.

                        • From Investopedia…

The national debt has grown by over $6.24 trillion since Biden took office in 2021, largely driven by COVID-19 relief measures. If we measure from the start of the new fiscal year on October 1st, 2021 the debt has grown by over $5.56 trillion under President Biden.23According to estimates by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), Biden’s American Rescue Plan would add $1.9 trillion to the national debt by 2031.24
                          also….

Of those who were president in either the 20th or 21st century, Franklin D. Roosevelt contributed to the largest percent increase in national debt. Recent presidents Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and George W. Bush presided over the three largest increases in terms of dollar amounts.
It’s really about depressions, recessions and unforeseen events like COVID and spending on wars. The government is forced to prop up the economy at times.

                          • Just think what might have been if Trump had reacted to COVID instead of claiming it was a Democrat hoax.

The recession was all on Trump and his actions.

Oh yeah, he should be kept off of the ballot because he incited an insurrection.

But y'all keep drinking the MAGA Kool-aid.

Trump fast tracked the vaccines, didn’t he?

                              From Forbes:

Speaking during a Sunday morning appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Moncef Slaoui, the head of the vaccine development partnership under the Trump administration, described recent claims by President Joe Biden that his administration was left without a coherent vaccine plan as a “very negative description of the reality.”

“In fact 90% of what’s happening now is the plan that we had,” Slaoui said, continuing: “We constructed specifically 100 million doses of the vaccine, but we also built into the contract options to acquire more vaccines once we knew they are effective.”
I don’t mind debating politics but I like to do it when people are willing to accept the other side did positive (as well as negative) things while in office. Even Nixon, as reviled as he was by people, did positive things while he was president.
