Good speaker but seems to be an asshole to the cut of Trump’s jib…so it worries me that he could be president in the next 10 years.
    He's a grifter crook, just like 45.

    • My friend loves Vivek. He just hopes he and Trump don’t team up.

      • None of these people have a chance in this election or any other election. Most of these candidates are trying to be Trump light. The ones that aren't trying to be Trump light may as well be in the Democratic party. The party they are campaigning for doesn't exist.

Vivek is the Mayor Pete of the Republicans. Vivek understands the new media that the other Trump opponents don't. And like Mayor Pete, Vivek made a strategic decision to deepthroat Trump and ride the Trump vibes to higher percentages.

I don't think there is much substance with him (much like Mayor Pete). And I wish there would have been a follow up to why he is running against Trump if Vivek thinks Trump is the greatest president of this centurary.

I don't think his proposal to raise the voting age to 25 has a lot of traction if he ever got to a general election.

            Vivek doesn’t want war.
Really? He was for(along with most Republican candidates) invading Mexico to take on the drug cartel.

Froot....I'm old enough to remember Trump running in the elections in the 80's and 90's and thinking the same thing. I don't look at Vivek as a guy that can win the next election...but (I'm terrified to say) nine years from now, I'm not so sure about.

Never underestimate the stupidity of 'merican politics (or the average 'merican voter)

              • Trump is a special case though, he has had the innate ability to generate coverage of himself for 40 years. He has so much earned media it overwhelms all of these other politicians. He can max out this strategy, but it's only a strategy to get 47 percent of the general vote. It's a limited strategy that only he can pull off. People aren't storming the Capitol to beat the living shit out of cops for Vivek. All of those topics from that debate repulse swing voters.

                • Now that it was brought up I vaguely remember him saying something along those lines.
I found it kind of ridiculous and didn’t connect it to war.
But I guess if your going to go onto another country and do their policing I guess you could call it a military action.

It would be a way because Mexico has flat out said they do not want the US military within their country.

                    • What they are talking about is an act of war. It is a half baked idea that won't work. Lobbing a missiles at cartels in Mexico is not a real strategy.

                            • Vivek is a snappy talker who can hold his own. His Ukraine policy is awful though. He correctly observes that a closer alliance between China and Russia is a threat to US national security but then diagnoses the solution to be “give land and concessions to Putin”.

No doubt he would like to pull the US out of NATO too.

If Ukraine traded land for peace (as they did in 2014 when Putin annexed Crimea) then two things will happen: China will invade Taiwan (causing a global semiconductor shortage and economic crash) and Putin will want to keep coming in Eastern Europe.

A stable Europe and Asia is a U.S. policy interest and handing greedy totalitarian dictators things in the hope they go away rarely ends well.

Russia in particular is a rogue, failed gangster state who want to steal and pillage as much land as possible and take down the US in the process. Ignoring it and appeasing it won’t make it go away. If you’re soft on Russia then China will see “might is right” and start annexing land too. The end result is a very unstable world.

                              • Up until today, I always thought a semiconductor was a short guy waving a stick at an Orchestra. But after a google search, no doubt using these semiconductors, I'm fucking scared.
