Trump gets swamped it is because of his terrible handling of covid 19. It has been breathtakingly bad. It will be what his presidency will be associated with in history. A smarter person could have done simple things and gotten reelected in a landslide. But then Trump has never shown that he actually cares about anyone unless it benefits him in some way.

BTW, without President Obama's help behind the scenes---there is no Joe Biden nomination. Even with Joe Biden winning South Carolina, if Mayor Pete and Kloubacher don't drop out before Super Tuesday the result is a lot different.

A Biden administration will have a competent person in the WH (which will be like going from Andre Ware to Matt Stafford), but I don't believe they will actually do anything to address the underlying problems that lead to Trump becoming President in the first place.

This what you are going to see out of a Biden administration:

Fiddling around the edges of Obamacare if that
Very friendly to Wall Street as they consolidate more and more businesses that collapsed out of covid 19
Rejoin the Paris Climate Accord but very little progress on climate change

A misguided idea that he can work with Republicans on anything
Nothing done on Student Loan debt/or making college more affordable

It doesn't matter who helped "behind the scenes. Your boy Bernie or any of the other further left candidates would not have stood a chance. The "he/she is a Socialist" cries would have scared the middle and seniors away. Trump had nothing to attack Biden on other than his lame attempt with Hunter Biden, but he had plenty to attack the more liberal candidates and his attacks would have resonated with the undecideds.

Your lamenting Biden as the Democratic candidate is ridiculous. Any alternative from the pool of Democrats running was four more years of Trump.
