But it seems to me the election officials (who ostensibly read those reports about the drop off) should have been ready for their populace to vote.

Also….how quickly we forget, but in the last election the Democratic Party encouraged drops offs because they saw the USPS as a possible problem.

But I don’t care about any of that….if those ballots were dropped off I the appropriate timeframe in an appropriate way….they should have been ready for them.

What questions are those?

Why is it taking so long? All elections take days to officially sort out. Ballots from overseas military, for example, can take up to a week after the fact to arrive. Final counts are never done on Election Day. It just very rarely matters in most states. When you have some races literally being decided by hundreds of votes, it is going to take time to conclusively determine a winner.

I don't know what is so hard to accept about that.

Now let me ask you, what particularly seems "fishy" to you? You don't just get to say, "I think there's cheating" and wave your arms in general at an election. Where is the cheating? What do you think is out of place that doesn't have a completely benign explanation?

Lauren Boebert looked like she was going to be toast until she got a unexpected vote total today from the counts from Frisch friendly precincts. Was it fraud? Nope she just got the votes. It happens. It's always been like this, counting votes takes a long time but you only notice it because there are close races in a closely divided Congress. Nobody really gives a shit if a Senate race goes long in a 54-45 Senate and nobody gives a shit in a 230-204 house.

Ideological sorting since the mid 90's is the culprit. The people who keep on claiming fraud are being ridiculous. If you want it to go faster, write a fucking letter to your state rep. Changing laws is the way to do it, stylish tin foil hats doesn't do anything to help the situation.
