If CNN told you piss was lemonade you’d get on your knees to drink from the fountain.
Watching an election process that is clearly inferior to 48 other states (almost all larger), Puerto Rico, Brazil, and a number of other 3rd world countries….and questioning “what’s going on here” is a fair fucking question. One that the Democratic Party leadership in AZ has had ample time to fix.
Go back and read my post, for comprehension this time, and you’d read that I’m saying they need to fix any appearance of impropriety.
But if you’re against the election counting process going fairly, smoothly, and expeditiously….I’d love to hear why (but then you’d probably just copy and paste an opinion from the Huffington post, so don’t waste your time).
The Republicans have had control of the house, Senate and governorship in Arizona. They should pass some laws to speed up the process. The Democratic leadership is in the minority.
And how the fuck does she "recuse" herself. She is not involved in counting ballots. She is not involved in any meaningful way once the process is established. She is not ruling on the validity of ballots.
So "recuse" herself from what, exactly?

I saw an interview with the guy over all that in Arizona, a Republican himself, and he was stating that they are more concerned with accuracy, rather then the speed Lake is chirping on about. Do Republicans understand they get nothing out of this foolishness but to loose ground with Purple voters?
I'll say it again, today's world allows people to insulate themselves from normal criticism, to the point that large groups of people can mislead themselves into bad thought and poorer behavior. Like attacking the Capitol Building and saying it's not an insurrection.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
And when Abrams didn’t accept the results you likely thought that was OK.
in this age, in this society….that a candidate should not be in a position to oversee his/her own election. It was wrong then and it’s wrong now.
Again…if you want election denying to stop, that shit needs to stop. The whole mantra of “well they did it…so we might as well do it too” is a loser. Whatever happened to leading by example (which is something neither party aspires to)?
And when the house decides to investigate/impeach Biden next year, you’re not going to be saying “it was OK for us so it’s OK for them”
in this era of questioning the ballot (which actually isn’t a new concept)…..if you’re not above reproach, you’re part of the problem. The fact that the same people running the shit-show in AZ made zero effort to improve this process is either gross incompetence or impropriety and neither is worth you patience.
In fact your apologist nature here shows just how partisan-ly blind. Democrats should be just as upset that someone was allowing cracks in the process for the seeds of doubt to grow in.

Recuse herself as the overseer of the process she’s about to participate in (as a contestant).
how would she do it…easy, she say’s “I want to remove the appearance of impropriety in the election” and then appoints a 2nd rate lackey wannabe politician to do the same job….don’t be obtuse. You’re obviously old enough to know how this shit works.
Again. I don't get what they think they're getting out of it. The people that agree with them, would agree with them even if they didn't make the assertation.
It's insane and ultimately a negative for having the higher ground they've built their prior stances on.

Yeah, I'm sure a recusal would stop Kari Lake from being an election denier.
But it makes her look like more of a nut job….
why does the Democratic Party want to help legitimize her claims then. This gives a leg to stand on…especially with how badly the last 2 elections have gone in AZ.
But according to CGVT…. the GOP officials have set all the procedures (so it’s their fault) AND that republicans conspired to drop off a bunch of ballots late to screw up the process (that, according to CGVT, the GOP created…which would be a weird strategy).
I’m starting to think CGVT only cares about parroting his party’s nonsense….and very little about actual fairness or democracy.
And maybe lake will to….but Abrams questioned the results repeatedly. Even the Washington post recently did a piece calling her recent statements to the otherwise as “a rhetorical twist of the facts”
at any rate…questioning the process or the results of an election shouldn’t be the sin that the Democratic Party wants it to be. Especially if someone thinks there’s improvements to be made.
They had them drop off mail in ballots rather than mail them in ahead of time. Unlike in person votes, each of the mail in ballots that were received on election day must be verified. That is what is holding up the process.
You tell me why they would have their supporters do that?
