That the assaulter was trans is really a anecdotal non-pertinent fact. Since the rules were changed on this during the Obama administration…do you recall the increase in trans related sexual assaults in bathrooms? Me either.

While I think there should be some common-sense rules around our trans friends (again, relating to sports and pronouns)…pretending that trans/gay people are a bunch of deviants and sex perverts that can’t keep it in their pants and will sexually assault unsuspecting people (apparently because they just can’t help it) is just nonsensical, bigoted, and not consistent with any facts.

Good point about blaming the gun. I agree that the sexual assault is issue number one. But the man being in the girls' bathroom provided opportunity. The assault would not have happened "but for" the man being allowed in the girls' bathroom.

In this particular case, the Louden County School Board tried to cover up the assault and ultimately did assign the perpetrator to another school.

Where he raped another girl in the girls' bathroom.

My family reunion was a couple of weeks ago. It's a bunch of us (around 60 relatives this year, more in pre-pandemic years) "camping" for a week on the west side of the state with a bunch of get-togethers and activities through the week. One of my cousins tested positive after being there a day or two and left. Through the week, others tested positive. And after the week ended, others continued to test positive, including my Dad (his second run with COVID) and some others. Seems it was quite a super spreader event. Although most experienced very mild symptoms, a couple of higher risk cousins had a rough go of it. My husband and I had gotten our second booster a couple weeks ahead of the trip and wonder if that helped us avoid it.

No. We had gotten the flu shot back in January, I think.

I’m glad you were able to avoid it, Deb. I never got the 2nd booster and I think that may be why I got Covid back in May.

Where did you get the 2nd booster? Did your doctor set it up for you?
