Which brings us back to square 1 with the NFL. Why in the FUCK do they have two different standards for players who test positive? There should be only ONE.

Their standards seem to assume vaccinated players won't miss game days if they come down with COVID......
Simply not true. You’re around 80-94% less likely to contract the virus at all if you’re double vaccinated. Can’t catch it, can’t spread it. The viral load once contracted (breakthrough or new infection to unvaxxed) looks similar.

Scary. Hope she is feeling better!!

I asked this before but I didn't see your response. Do you guys have access to the same vaccines as we do here in the US?

        • Really not convinced on those 80-94% figures, TLL. Aside from the MIL, i know a few fully vacced, including various family members that have caught the ‘Rona.
And i know others, who know others etc etc

Its the AstraZen, Fizer (with a p) and moderna jabs here, Deborah. No idea how they choose what you’re getting. Also no idea if J&J jab is here.

          • My brother-in law got the Rona last week. We've been trying to get my sister and her family o get vaccinated, but no. She had some pretty important stuff she was supposed to be doing for my son's open house Saturday, but no. Now, we have to scramble

                • Yeah, my bro-n-law is a really good guy. He is a constant comedian. I think it gets on my sister nerves at times, but I love it. I'll have to get an update on how he's doing today.

                  • As many of you know, I work in the medical field. Specifically, I work in a county hospital in northern California as a physician assistant (shoot, I started spending time on the Freep Forum when I was a PA student!). Now I'm the senior PA on the Neurosurgery service, and so I spend a lot of time in the ICU, including caring for COVID patients. I'm also active in the hospital's union (I'm a chapter officer) and deal a lot with worker-related COVID concerns.

I haven't read all the posts in this topic, and I'm not prepared to offer an opinion on anything specific. But I was wondering..... does anybody have any questions they want to ask me about the pandemic? I may be able to offer some fresh perspective.

                      • Larsky, your in the bowels of the end of the world. Tell me if it is really as bad as what the news is telling us.My whole family works in the medical field here in the middle of michigan and they all say that it is mostly bull shit. They are all being told to say things that are not what they are experiencing. I think we are all being lied to.

                            • Honestly we'll probably be dealing with this until enough "conservatives" die that they have to take it seriously or they'll never win another election.

                              • I have a question for Larsky.

Ok, so things like polio and measles have vaccines that prevent the vaccinated from catching and spreading the disease.

Is that hypothetically possible with a flu/Covid vaccine?

(I'm not gonna get into the other stuff aka then why not do it/ will it be done etc)
WHO CARES why it says paper jam when there is no paper jam?
