        • Yeah all that shit doesn't get any closer to a solution. But it allows you to rant on the Trump culture war BS, take it to the politics thread.

          • Ask any Native American about the santiation, husbandry and lack of disease vectors "Western" society has been.

Hell, the H1N1 influenza virus that has killed millions over the last century originated smack dab in the middle of Europe.

ANYWHERE that animal husbandry is a thing has the chance of creating a viral cocktail that could emerge into a pandemic. Hell, not even a full vegan society could avoid it (plenty of fungus and bacteria hop across phylums). That's the deal with the devil civilizations make.

The only way China is uniquely "responsible" for this is if they were actively creating this viral agent and it escaped (which, hell, I'll even grant you is a possibility; it would HARDLY be the first time the Chinese government did something monstrous, and tried to hide it).

              • Nope. It was actually France during WWI. The main reason it spread it was the troops returning home across the world. Spain got hammered first.

                • I read an interesting article about Philly during that pandemic. People knew the flu was here but they went on with a parade with hundreds of thousands of people. Philly got hammered as a result.

Now we have spring breakers from that shithole swamp FL partying it up. All the colleges are closed. Those kids will move back to live with their parents and will wind up killing them.

The epidemic is thought to have started in Haskell County in Kansas at Fort Riley and those soldiers were sent over to Europe where that strain raged and then mutated.

                            • Yeah I have no idea on the Chinese eating habits or how this thing originated. It may be wet bars, pigs or bat soup. No clue. They are more likely to originate in China because there are a lot of ducks and domesticated pigs, plus the largest population. So they are most likely to come from there. The one in 2009 originated in Mexico. There will be more after this, but right now they need to be moving heaven and Earth to be fighting this. Culture wars don't fight this shit.

                              • Until everyone is tested, or better yet inoculated, this will get worse.

Separation can go only so far.
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.
