EVERYONE is capable of wearing a mask and distancing when they can. If the constant war with scientists never happen thousands of Americans would be alive today.
Tests have NEVER in the history of Earth prevented anything. Tests answers questions. Period. People can look at the results scientifically or put their tin foil hats on and say the tests are why there's infections.Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. Packers player who played Thursday tested positive for COVID-19

The Packers were missing three players from their active roster on Thursday night because of COVID-19 protocols and another member of the team reportedly tested positive before the game against the 49ers.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that a player who was in action on Thursday has tested positive. Results of tests taken on gamedays are generally not returned ahead of kickoff. The NFL has said it is “unlikely, but possible” that results would come during a game and that a player would be pulled from the field if they did learn of a positive result during a game.
Contact tracing will now take place to identify close contacts to the player. If any of those contacts are found to be high-risk, they will be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and remain away from work for five days while continuing to be tested on a daily basis.
The 49ers also had a player test positive for COVID-19 this week, but Schefter reports that there were no new positives from their round of testing.

Almost half the league.
Fifteen NFL teams currently have COVID-19 issues

If only the pandemic truly had disappeared after the election.
The nationwide COVID-19 outbreak continues, with six-figure cases and single-day records over each of the past two days. And the NFL is feeling the impact of it.
Currently, 15 teams have issues with the virus, in one form or another. In no particular order, they are the Ravens, Texans, Colts, Broncos, Chiefs, Cowboys, Packers, Bears, 49ers, Cardinals, Eagles, Raiders, Lions, Falcons, and Dolphins.
That’s nearly half the league, presently struggling with some issue or another related to the pandemic.
“As we’ve repeatedly said, as long as the pandemic is endemic in our society there will be positive cases, particularly as we see spikes in our communities,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said via email earlier this morning. “Our protocols anticipate that, and are designed to identify it early, isolate the individual and stop the virus from spreading within a team. The protocols have worked and it’s a testament to the hard work of thousands of individuals. We knew it was going to be difficult. It takes all of us to working every day to continue to meet this challenge.”
He’s right on all counts. But it won’t get any easier as the virus continues to spread in the places where NFL teams are located. Unless and until the league implements home-market bubbles, all players, coaches, and essential personnel will leave the facility each day and go to a place where they could contract the virus. Between the incubation period and the lag between test collection and test result, infected players and coaches can enter the building and spread it before anyone even realizes what has happened.
That’s why every coach should be explaining every day to every player and staff member that it should be assumed that everyone in the building has it, because anyone can have it on any given day. Masks, distancing, and all other protocols become critical to avoid an outbreak that can cancel games, wipe out game checks, and otherwise derail a season that somehow has made it through eight full weeks with all games played.

NFL fines Steelers, Mike Tomlin for game-day mask violation

As the pandemic continues to create real issues for the NFL, the NFL will be creating real issues for the teams that fail to do what they should.
The latest development comes courtesy of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who per Adam Schefter of ESPN has been fined $100,000 for failure to wear a mask during Sunday’s game at Baltimore. The league also fined the Steelers $250,000.
It’s the same penalty that the league imposed earlier this year on a quintet of teams and coaches.
Tomlin’s didn’t violate the requirement as obviously and conspicuously as others. Indeed, he said several weeks ago that he’s trying to do the right thing by wearing a mask on the sideline.
“I’m just thankful to be working,” Tomlin said. “A lot aren’t able to in this pandemic. I don’t take that for granted. I just want to show a good example and show I am thankful for working. I try to be as diligent as I can.”
The league’s approach to punishing teams and coaches hasn’t been entirely clear. At times, it seems that bigger COVID-19 issues (like the Tennessee outbreak) put mask violations on the back burner. At other times, it seems that the league doesn’t want to invite criticism from fans and media who think masks don’t work.
Regardless, the mood at 345 Park Avenue currently points to punishment. And punishment may become critical to keeping the pandemic from eventually pulling the plug on the season.

Falcons will work virtually today after one staffer tests positive for COVID-19

The Falcons are the latest team to have their practice schedule affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
One member of the team’s staff has tested positive, and as a result the team won’t practice or do any in-person work today.
“Out of an abundance of caution following one new positive test to a member of the football staff, we have mede the decision to stop all in-person work at IBM Performance Field Friday and will conduct all operations virtually,” the Falcons said in a statement. “Contact tracing protocols have commenced and the team has returned to the league’s intensive protocols. This decision was made in consultation with the NFL and medical officials and does not affect the status of Sunday’s game. The health and safety of our team is our highest priority.”
The Falcons will host the Broncos, who have also been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic this week, on Sunday.

Bears cleared to return to team facility Friday

The NFL has cleared the Bears to return to Halas Hall on Friday, the team announced Thursday night.
The Bears sent everyone home from their facility Thursday after center Cody Whitehair tested positive for COVID-19.
The Bears will resume football activities Friday at their team facility under the NFL’s intensive protocol.
The team did not provide an update on Whitehair and whether his initial positive test was confirmed by subsequent testing.
Two other offensive linemen — Germain Ifedi and Jason Spriggs — are on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Defensive back Michael Joseph also is on the list.
Spriggs tested positive for COVID-19, with Ifedi going on the reserve/COVID-19 list after contact tracing determined he was a close contact with Spriggs.
The Bears are scheduled to face the Titans in Nashville on Sunday.

JON GRUDENHC, LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports the Raiders have been fined $500,000 and stripped of a 2021 sixth-round draft pick for "protocol violations related to OT Trent Brown’s positive test in late October."
Coach Jon Gruden has also been fined $150,000. The stiff penalties are because the Raiders were deemed to be "repeat offenders." Gruden certainly hasn't displayed the best mask form on the sideline, in addition to some off-the-field protocol issues with his players. With COVID running more and more rampant inside the NFL, the league is going to grow ever more heavy-handed in an effort to keep the season on track. It is going to be extraordinarily difficult as the United States deals with record coronavirus cases heading into colder weather.

Agree on Vitamin D - we read early on of a connection between a Vitamin D deficiency and poor outcomes and have incorporated that vitamin in to our supplements.#birdsarentreal
