No real shock here. The Women's team lost their tourney game at Oklahoma. I didn't watch.

I saw about the final 5 minutes; when I tuned in they were down by 11, and it went downhill from there.

At least they finally got to the NCAA Women's Tournament, something they hadn't done in about a decade. Like the U of M Men's Hoops Team, the Women's Team is pointed in the right direction, the first step being becoming competitive.

It looks like the Women's Basketball team made a good hire. The reigning Big East Coach of the Year:

Yeah, I saw that earlier.

I was disappointed that Borseth left, because I thought he had the women's program headed in the right direction. This hire is an improvement, and that's not intended as a slam to Borseth. She's just a better coach.

I think the women's basketball coaching job got a bit more attractive with the addition of the new practice facility and improvements to Crisler Center. Womens' basketball will probably never sell out Crisler, but it would be nice to see the Wolverines become a nationally competitive program.

I agree. I wouldn't mind seeing them be a regular tourney team.
