As for his ranking, it's hard to say. This service has Amir Williams, ESPN has him at #41 and Rivals has him at #71 so opinions vary. ESPN & MaxPreps are fairly similar when it comes to Brundidge and Burke. I think some ranking systems put more into AAU and camps and some value High School more. Max had a great Senior season so I'm guessing that carried more weight with MaxPreps. I'm still not sure why all the services have Brundidge rated higher than Burke but I'm guessing whatever he did last summer is why. Burke put up better numbers and won Mr. Basketball in Ohio. From the videos I've seen, he looks like the better talent too. I'm surprised he's not in the top 40. I think he's going to be a star at Michigan. Better than Morris.

I'm a bit worried about Morris. A bunch of top picks are not going into the draft because of the looming NBA lockout. Morris may think he can slip into the first round because a bunch of guys that would normally be going are sitting it out. Plus, next year's draft will be loaded, making it that much harder to be a first round pick.

If the lockout threat is real, then I think he'd stay, too. He wants to play, and another year will help him toward that, even if other players stay, too.

No, the real question is, does he have some unscrupulous agent whispering in his ear that he has to go NOW because this is his shot.

I'm sure he's got a dozen (or more) agents that are texting/calling him every day. From what I've read from Morris' quotes, he sounds like a pretty smart kid and hopefully he makes a good decision whether that is good or bad for M basketball.

If he gets a first-round promise then, well, fair enough. Can't blame him though it would suck to lose him for next year.

That's what I'm worried about. If enough first-rounders are going to sit it out and wait for next year because of the labor situation, someone like Morris might slip into the 1st round. In which case he'd probably be crazy NOT to take it.

I don't think Morris is ready for the NBA yet. He would be stupid to jump now.

I think any first rounder (I don't think Morris is one) should take the guaranteed NBA money. I don't know where Morris is likely to be drafted but older projections had him as an early 2nd rounder...
Quotes by some seem to indicate Morris is only putting his name in the hat to see where he might get selected to satisfy some family members worries. I hope its true as he's a vital part to M's success last season, Morris made guys around him much better players, Jordan Morgan especially.

Right, I think early 2nd round is correct. Problem is, if 10 1st rounders don't come out because of the labor situation, all of a sudden Morris becomes a late first rounder instead of an early 2nd.

Is that true? I thought he had declared for the draft, but he could still "undeclare" because he hasn't gotten an agent.

Here's a write up on players that should think about staying in school:

Yes, he can still come back if he chooses.
