Believe he announces any minute, rivals think he's M.

Not gonna get excited either way. Nice to have another big, maybe nicer to bank the scholarship and go after someone better next year.

Beilfelt is a Wolverine! Excellent pick up.

Nice to have depth in the front court. We have a TON in the back court.
Who knows, maybe Larry Nance Jr. will still come as a preferred walk-on? I'm sure his dad still has money so maybe a scholarship isn't so important?

It'd be great to have Nance Jr., but this may end up being a "if you snooze, you lose" situation for him. I think you're right about his dad having the dough to send him to Michigan as a preferred walk on. He could do that for a year, then wait for a scholly.

Can kids of former NBA ballers go anywhere but Michigan?

Good question, Seattle. If Nance comes aboard, it could start a trend.
I wonder if Shaq has any HS age sons?

I'd prefer not...... unless they are David Wood's kids.

Somebody pointed out on umhoops message board that Jordan Morgan was graded a 75/100 on ESPN and Bielfeldt grades out as a 87/100.

I like what I'm reading about Bielfeldt.
If he doesn't work out well in basketball, he can go see Brady Hoke about playing TE/DE.

I like this addition more now that what I wrote about him a week or two ago, maybe its just the hype of the commitment but he sounds like a very solid addition at a position M needed help badly. He's a pretty polished guy who should help pretty early in his career and that is what M needs.

It was on a podcast with the assistant coaches.
I forget which part they mention it in but I think it's closer to the end: http://www.wtka.com/index.php?fuseac...s_sel&id=11708

Nick Stauskas (SG, 6'5", Southborough, MA), Rivals #106 player in the class of 2012, has committed to Michigan.

I didn't realize we had another scholly available? I thought Bielfeldt took the last one.

Aha ... I didn't realize that.
There's a report in the Detroit Snooze that Darius Morris is considering a jump to the NBA. I can't see him being drafted, but you never know. http://www.detnews.com/article/20110...ng-jump-to-NBA
