A quote from an anonymous front office guy per PFW:

"Big Albert (Haynesworth) is affordable now that they paid him all that money ($21 million option bonus). The contract is not bad to absorb. It sounds like he could be had for next to nothing. The problem bringing him into your locker room is that he could lead you the wrong way. When he wants to play, he is as good as any, but you don't know if he is going to want to do it. Everyone has to be scared of him shutting it down. I expect they will move him once it gets closer to training camp, but I wouldn't touch him — absolutely not. ... Tennessee and Detroit are the two natural landing spots. He played for (Jim) Schwartz, and Jeff Fisher knew how to manage him. I will tell you this — you put Haynesworth next to (Ndamukong) Suh, and the NFC North better look out. You want to talk about a wrecking crew, now. How do you block that?"

The Lions dont have quality players fall into their laps like this. I'll believe it when it happens.

If it does, though....holy crap.

Haynesworth, Suh, Corey Williams and vanden Bosch, with Avril and Sammie Lee Hill behind them -- that would be beyond sick. I can't imagine it could be true.

Yeah, I think Williams would be the 3rd DT if Fat Albert came on board.

yeah...in a 3-4. Playing DE in a 4-3 makes a world of difference.

It seems like its every NFL media expert vs Adam Schefter with this topic.

... Adam Schefter being the only person that is VERY convinced it won't happen.
But wow, Haynesworth is now demanding a trade & saying he will skip training camp... Interesting.

Bonus money is the ONLY thing standing between Albert and a trade. Redskins had deals in place with teams waiting for him to agree to pay back a larger share.

He's angry now, but I can almost guarantee his agent will calm him down and explain that he can't have it both ways.

As of right now, besides the Lions, I see him in a Saints, Titans, or Giants jersey.

According to PFT, his agent is urging the skins to trade him.

I'd pass along a link, but I'm on my phone. I just read it, though. You'll just have to trust me (or look it up).

I know, the agent has been working the trade for months. But as of today, Albert was also trying to pay back only thousands of the 30-odd-million the Redskins have paid him already.

That D-Line would certainly make me feel better about our secondary.

D-Line with Haynesworth:

LDE - Kyle Vanden Bosch, Cliff Avril
DT - Albert Haynesworth, Ndamukong Suh
DT - Corey Williams, Sammie Lee Hill
RDE - Jared Devries, Jason Huter

Players like Joe Cohen, Landon Cohen, Andre Fluellen, Turk McBride are gone...
That would be pretty good.
I think we are goin to have to use our 1st Round Pick on a DE next year. We need a long term DE star...

Too bad the Haynesworth trade won't happen...
Our D-Line will be good anyways...
