Haynesworth headed to Detroit?
http://www.draftsharks.com/SharkBite...?Id=1608#14833
I'm not seeing much in the way of a source, but I think it's interesting that this is being brought back up. Where there's smoke there's fire? |

Setting aside the money talk I'd take him in a heartbeat on that line. Can you imagine the rotation we'd have? Williams, Suh, Haynes and Hill..

That would be an embarrassment of riches on the D-line.

Again, no chance of happening.
Adam Schefter was right. La Canfora was wrong. In 2 months, I will say the same thing (Because the trade won't happen). The only (big name) players that might be added on the Lions roster in the next 2 months are Bullock or Atogwe. |

Given the current roster and the amount of money he would want, I think that resources could be better allocated than on Haynesworth.

Haynesworth isn't worth much now that he got paid and decided to become lazy.

The only way he'd be a powerhouse, is if it was a contract year!

I can see where Haynsworth would want to reunite with Schwartz but I can not see the Lions trading for Haynsworth unless he does a sign and trade.

I would think Schwartz knows him quite well - perhaps if he sits long enough and Washington gets desperate enough to move him it might be worth it. Haynesworth's work ethic and motivation has been questioned. We certainly don't need another Shaun Rogers on this roster...

Agreed, although when "Big Baby" did come to play, guy was monster, I'll never forget when his fat ass scored that TD and went and immediately got him some oxygen! Good times!

I was AT that game DD08. They were 6-2 having pounded the Broncos 44-7 I think and looking to play Arizona (AT Arizona that next week) And it was after that game that Big Baby quit. Last meaningful game they won that year.

It was a bright spot and I was thrilled. What year was it. Was that when the last game of the season we beat the Cowgirls? and then didn't win again untill last year?

Haynesworth, prior to last season was perhaps regarded as the most dominant DT in the National Football League. If you can make it happen you have to certainly think long and hard about it.
I mean this is the Lions we're talking about. Being able to acquire players of his caliber doesn't happen everyday for this franchise. |

The money the Lions would pay Haynesworth is fairly insignificant. The vast majority of his funds came in the signing bonus the Lions wouldn't be on the hook for.
That said, I haven't heard anything about the Lions serious pursuing Haynesworth... what exactly could the Lions give the Skins that they would be interested in? Remember... the Skins are trying to win now. They probably won't be interested in draft picks or what would amount to bench players.

I'd send them Ford Sr. for Albert.
