That sucks... I'm starting to think Hill was helping our LB's out quite a bit.. hard to say for sure though.

Not sure what you are getting at but there is no way the lions risk injury to calvin and put him in a position where he is supposed to tackle someone.

What they should do is have culpepper throw it as far and high as he can repeatedly vs the stealers and let Calvin win some jump balls. Worst case its intercepted at similar spot to where our punter would put it anyhow (special instructions given to the rest of the offense to run down the field ready to tackle. I'm pretty sure thats how half the catches culpepper got to Moss during those years.

Won't be able to see this game til I get back from the UP. Leaving tomorrow morning for Neice's wedding, be back Sunday but Wedding Annaversary is Sunday so it'll be late for the game or even Monday morning.

Calvin is probably the only guy on the team that can cover the Steelers 3rd WR - Mike Wagner - that guy can motor.

He certainly was. Grady has been outstanding so that help Hill out to. They occupy 3 gaps, what more can you ask for?

Steelers only weakness is their oline, but the Lions don't have a dline that can exploit this. I see the Steelers using the pass to loosen up the Lion's run defense and ultimately achieving a good pass/rush balance like they did against the Chargers. The Steeler D isn't what it was last year, but its still excellent. Lions will probaby be able to move the ball, primarily through the air, but won't be able to score enough TDs to keep this game close.

With or without Stafford, with or without Sammie Hill, the Lions are going to lose this game.

I'm driving up from Cincinnati with two of my sons for the game. One is a Lions fan, one a steelers fan. One of my boys will come home happy.... At least we got the all you can eat concession stand tickets. I'll drown my sorrow in brats, cokes and nachos as the Steelers roll 37-10. PS Culpepper will probably get killed in this game.

Ok, first that was a joke...ya know...a TO happens and then some Steeler D-bag is running with the ball the other way.

Anyways, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep sending Calvin down the field. Maybe you get a pass interference call. At 6'5" (??) he should be able to outjump the Steelers. If it results in a pick, then it's a good punt. It's win-win I tell ya.

While I don't think the Lions can/will win this game, I think it will be more competitive than a lot of people think.

Steelers 34 Lions 13

I've been reading about starting Levy at olb over Peterson or Sims. I've also read that they've been giving peterson reps at DE. I wonder if they will move Peterson to DE and start Levy in his place at olb. Although from some of your comments I wouldn't be suprised to see him replace Sims.

I'd love to say I'm wrong, but the Steelers should have at least 20 by mid-way through the second period.
