Is this the RB depth chart for game 1? (A Tweet from Sam Webb):

    1. Smith. 2. Isaac 3. Evans 4. Johnson 5. Higdon 6. Davis 7. Walker

NB: Chris Evans also made the list of the 10 Freshmen likely to play on Saturday.

There is such a thing as redemption. Jim Harbaugh is redeemed at the expense of a fading Ryan Day and OSU. M wins back to back games v. OSU first time since 1999-2000 - John Cooper was fired in 2000!!!

I take it Walker's grade issues weren't fixed or he's in the doghouse.

Evans above Johnson is interesting but not a surprise based on the hype we have been hearing. Sounds like Harbaugh unearthed a big time sleeper there.

          Walker will probably RS.

Its probably to Walker's advantage to RS unless we get a miracle flip by Najee Harris.

Chris Evans in practices has been used to great effect in an H-Back type role... He's also done very well in pass protection and with his receiving ability maybe the 3rd down back...

You hope to recruit a blue chip (or 2) RB in each class, not worried about redshirting any backs as if you're recruiting at a high level, a redshirted back is just going to get bypassed on the depth chart. M has recruited RB horrendously since Carr was here; Brown & Minor were pretty good but they were NEVER healthy. Explosive RB's who can get to the edge have been missing in action for well over a decade.

Yeah Chris Perry the Doak Walker winner was a real bust.

I think he meant since Carr retired.

Michigan has been inconsistent at the RB position since Gary Moeller was here, and that might be generous. Possibly because Fred Jackson checked out once it became apparent that he was never going to be a head coach.

In addition to all of the time zone issues, Hawaii might be dealing with this...

HONOLULU (AP) -- The Central Pacific Hurricane Center on Monday issued a hurricane watch for the Big Island of Hawaii, saying Hurricane Madeline could pass "dangerously close."
The storm should be near or over the Big Island by Wednesday, said forecaster Derek Wroe.
At 11 p.m. Monday (2 a.m. PDT Tuesday), the center said the storm had strengthened to a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds near 130 mph.
The Center's advisory on Madeline predicted it will pass "dangerously close" to the Big Island Wednesday and Wednesday night. But it added that some weakening is forecast through late Wednesday.
Residents could experience hurricane force winds, heavy rain and high surf, the Center said.
Madeline was 515 miles east of Hilo late Monday night and moving west-northwest at 9 mph.
Hawaii County, which covers the Big Island, urged residents to restock their emergency kits with a flashlight, fresh batteries, cash and first aid supplies.
The county recommended that residents create evacuation plans and secure outdoor furniture.

                          Mike Hart was pretty good.

Hart was at his ceiling pretty much the day that he showed up. And then there was nobody decent backing up up for four years. When Hart was injured, our running game was screwed. We haven't been two-deep with legitimate quality since the one overlapping year with Biakabutuka and Wheatley. We have had a few years where we have had one great back and a few years where we have had two average or above average guys, but the RB position has not been both great and deep (like this year's tight ends, DL, or DBs) for a couple of decades.

The Island of Hawaii (The Big Island) may be threatened by these two storms but Oahu, where the U of Hawaii is located, is about 130 miles to the North West of the Island of Hawaii.

I pulled up the local storm tracker for Oahu and sunny skies and top winds on Thursday/Friday of 30 kts are forecasted. Nothing out of the usual there.
