It's almost over. Apathy bowl game week thread.

Two teams with nothing to play for. No value for either team to win.

Detroit - Who cares
Peckers - Why bother

My new lions game day cocktail:

1 qt light rum
1 qt dark rum
3 qt vodka
Splash fruit juice

Mix everything together and enjoy
Serves 1

Apathy Bowl is right. It does matter to three guys in the Picks game, but that's about it.

Anyone been busy with the simulators to see how this game affects the Lions Superbowl in April?

Fuckface and DaVante Adams aren't going to play, neither is Aaron Jones. All that they have is Jamaal Williams. Expect a game similar to the Bears game in Detroit, where they sold out to shut down Jordan Howard with 9 in the box. In other words, fade Jamaal Williams t his week if you are playing DFS.

That's the only thing that is interesting about this game. Nothing else matters.

Typical sports teams rivalry game... the time my team will win is in a game that doesn’t matter.

Lions 23
Packers 13

The game means nothing but any time they beat the Packers, it makes true fans like me smile.

Headline: Matthew Stafford has no interest in sitting out Lions finale

Yeah, gotta keep that useless consecutive starter streak going. He's not STATford for nothing.

Stafford is like a politician, he has a winning speech and a losing one.

After a loss to a good team, and sometimes a bad one, he has the "that was a real good defense, they played tough speech" speech.

Then there's the off days pressers where he has the "I work hard, I have to play better, and I love to play" speeches no matter what.

He isn't going to become Wally Pipp.

Yeah, there is no chance of him getting Wally Pipped, he is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL. The He-man Stafford Hater club can't see it. But they love meatballs.

Oh no, we all agree he’s one of the better QBs in the league. He’s the best of the worst and the worst of the best. He’s solidly Mediocre, he is right there with Jay Cutler

Oh and BTW. The record shows that Caldwell is one of the better coaches in the league and the best coach Detroit has had since the advent of the Super Bowl. The record also shows that since the hiring of Caldwell, Stafford’s play has improved.

At least we can all acknowledge how far the team has come since 0-16. A head coach who has the highest winning percentage in the last 50+ years of this team, and who is 2-2 in Green Bay, and who is about to put the sweep on the Cheese for the first time since 1991, is still a head coach that is not good enough. Browns fans would suck a dick for the four years we just had. Just saying.

So you're happy with where we were in the 90s? Mediocre?

They did win a playoff game in the 90s. Who was the QB? Maybe he's available. The He-mans club would celebrate his arrival.
